Job Responsibilities:
- Develop a conceptual design for the Process Utilities engineering discipline for projects in the Advanced Technology Facilities industry
- Represent a focal point of competence for the Process Utilities discipline during internal design reviews
- Review and advice on existing (in-house or from external) Process Utilities design documentation. This could be programming, concept, detailed or construction design information
- Provide technical support to project teams during the construction phase of the project
- Provide professional advice on regulatory compliance
- Integrate into Exyte’s global network of subject matter experts and drive the development of best known methods, alternative methodologies and future technologies
- Cooperate with the other disciplines of the concept development team (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical) to provide best technical design solutions for the client
- Support Exyte’s estimating team to develop associated costs for the Process Utilities engineering discipline during the programming and conceptual design phases
- Develop the best integrated and cost-effective Process Utilities engineering solutions in balance with the client’s budget expectation
- Establish & ensure compliance with Design for Safety procedures, checklist and reviews and actively promote the value of Design for Safety
- Execute Design for Safety reviews with Engineers, Construction and Commissioning Departments
- Understand sustainability standards and practices related to water reclaim, waste reduction and waste recycling / regeneration.
- Support the sustainability manager to integrate sustainability goals into business processes
- Contribute in developing and implementing sustainability strategies and programs related to water and waste management.
Requirements:
- Degree in Building Services Engineering
- 15 years of Design and Construction experience in a high-tech industry or other multiple discipline orientated construction business
- 10 years of experience in a leading related position of a fast-track project
- BIM model integrated design experience
- Technical knowledge and understanding of all stages of engineering design and construction for Process Utilities systems from preliminary design to handover
- Knowledge of local and international codes and regulations for design implementation
- Knowledge of best methods for design and construction implementation
