Our client is a global manufacturer. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Tax and Compliance to be part of their Taxation team. They are located in the North Area - easily accessible.
Responsibility of Tax and Compliance Manager:
- Provide support for tax operations in Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia, including direct/indirect/withholding tax and transfer pricing. Oversee and review the work of internal staff and conduct compliance reviews for the relevant entities.
- Handle national and local tax audits and queries. Coordinate responses with internal teams and external advisors, estimate risks, and develop strategies for managing audits. Prepare technical memos as needed.
- Assist in creating deliverables for tax planning and advisory, supporting regional and global tax initiatives. Contribute to the development and execution of tax strategies.
- Help prepare and review tax reports, including cash tax and quarterly income tax provisions. Ensure compliance with ASC 740, FAS 5, and other regulations.
- Maintain SOX tax compliance by documenting processes and controls.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the organization’s competitive edge by boosting sales, reducing costs, or mitigating risks.
- Track legislative and regulatory changes in the Asia-Pacific region, and develop proactive strategies to address potential impacts. Communicate positions effectively to influence policy.
- Evaluate the success of initiatives and report to regional and country leadership teams.
Requirements:
- Min Degree in Finance / Accountancy or any related field
- Minimum 10 years tax experience in SEA region
- Good communication skills
