Responsibilities:

• To assist the Mechanical Engineer for the execution of the project.
• Ensure all the projects meet clients requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with all parties in the project team, including authorities, consultants, sub-contractors, suppliers, etc.
• Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
• Propose alternative work method or other ways to increase productivity.

• Responsible for supervision of all site work in cooperation with Project Managers
• Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems
• Managing the construction project activities, budget, and resources to meet the construction timeline without compromising quality and safety
• Conducts meetings to monitor site job progress and resolve all technical and site problems
• Assist Project Manager to organise weekly toolbox meetings and housekeeping, respective site operational meetings on related project matters
• Ensure project quality plan is carried out and in line with audit requirements
• Ensures that all construction documentation is filed and maintained according to the Project requirements
• Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
• Prepare weekly progress reports inputs and other deliverables of the project as required by Project Managers
• Study job specifications to determine appropriate construction methods
• Solve issues with the site engineers that arise on the construction sites
• Experienced in handling multiple projects

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of projects.

• Coordinate with the design, safety and quantity surveyor teams to ensure preliminary works, drawings and site safety clearances are completed and approved.

• Manage the schedule of a few teams of site supervisors and workers to allocate them efficiently to the on-going worksites.

• Establish the detailed list of materials for each project, ensure their availability and liaise with the purchase department to order what is necessary.

• Plan all preparation works to be carried out in the workshop, assign the adequate teams and equipment to the worksites to complete works as scheduled and to avoid delays.

• Oversee the day-to-day progress of on-going projects.

• Identify any risk or problem and promptly respond by proposing and implementing corrective measures.

• Allocate the site supervisors, workers, materials and equipment effectively and efficiently to ensure the smooth completion of the projects and to avoid any delay.

• Ensure all works are performed in accordance with the prevailing safety and quality standards.

• Attend meetings with clients, architects, engineers, site supervisors and suppliers.

• Perform all the inspection and commissioning activities up to the hand-over of the project.

• Prepare frequent progress report to the management, assist the quantity surveyor for the claim reports.

• Monitor all changes to specifications and work scope and liaise with Quantity Surveyor to issue variation order.

• Manage all site document filing and record keeping and issue an end of project report.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering/Building or equivalent.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant industry.

• Well organised and capable of efficient planification.

• Problem solving and communication skills.

• Professionalism and technical competency.

• Familiarity with the procedures of projects in construction and with the health and safety legislation at worksite.

• Fluent oral and written English.

• 5.5 days per week.

• Class 3 driving license preferred.
