The role of a Community Care Associate (CCA) or Senior Community Care Associate (SCCA) is to provide quality day-to-day daily living care for residents or clients in a nursing home or senior care centre, in line with the Community Care sector’s aims to provide Singapore’s elderly with a dignified life. A CCA and SCCA will be trained in cross-functional areas such as nursing and therapy, and will work closely with Clinical and Therapy teams to promote maintenance of resident’s independent living skills through holistic care and deploying cross-functional skills.
As a CCA or SCCA, you will provide seniors with:
Assisted daily living and support (personal hygiene, feeding, transfers)
Holistic care to support their psychosocial well-being by curating recreational programmes and activities, supervising and engaging seniors, and developing a supportive relationship with seniors and family members
Holistic care to support their physical and clinical well-being through mobility training and integrating maintenance rehabilitation activities into their daily routine, assisting to serve pre-packed medication and applying prescribed topical medication, performing basic wound care independently and administering subcutaneous insulin injections (for SCCAs only).
To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:
- Passionate and have a heart of care for our seniors
- Exposure to healthcare setting advantageous
- Candidates with more than 2 years of local healthcare experience will be considered for the SCCA position
