The Global Centre for Asian Women’s Health (GloW) aims to build a global research platform for transdisciplinary endeavours to address major health concerns over a woman's lifespan and across generations. Through its main hub in Singapore, the Centre will engage in multi-disciplinary research to promote women’s health, including a series of diet and lifestyle intervention studies.

Purpose of the role

The project coordinator/manager will play a key role in dietary intervention studies by actively managing and coordinating diet and lifestyle intervention studies in GloW. Responsibilities include development, implementation and monitoring of meal plans, educating participants as needed, collecting dietary data, and performing administrative duties to ensure the studies’ success and compliance. The staff will work closely with Principal Investigators of intervention studies, collaborate closely with the research team, food service team, and other relevant stakeholders, as well as undertake other ad-hoc responsibilities assigned by the Centre’s Director as needed.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The staff will hold a few key responsibilities, including

(1) Intervention study coordinator:

• Recruit and interview study participants for the intervention study
• Implement methods for collecting dietary data, including detailed food intake records and compliance monitoring.
• Conduct regular assessments to evaluate participants' nutritional status and document any deviations from prescribed diets.

(2) Nutritional Intervention study monitoring:

• Monitor food/nutrient composition for meals developed for intervention study
• Collaborate with the research team to integrate nutritional components into the study design and ensure alignment with research objectives.
• Liaise and coordinate with the Food Service team, providing diet requirements, and assisting in menu and recipe development and analysis as required

Job Description

A Programme Manager position is open at the Singapore Hybrid-Integrated Next-Generation μ-Electronics (SHINE) Centre of Professor Aaron Thean and within the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS).

The candidate will have a leading role in managing the related research projects, reviewing, and monitoring the execution, leading all aspects of the communication with the involved industrial parties.
The candidate will also have responsibilities in the following areas:
1. Coordinate the setup of the Centre in close collaboration with its Directors and PIs.
2. The Programme Manager is expected to play a leadership role in ensuring a tightly integrated programme where appropriate research activities are clearly collaborative; and to monitor, supervise, and manage the various principal investigators and receive reports on their research projects and specifically to review the progress of the various research activities for their deliverables along pre-determined timelines and make necessary changes, when appropriate, to the programme to achieve the stated goals.
3. Monitor and report on usage of the grant, review, and report expenditure where appropriate.
4. Expected to assist and interact with all partners on reports such as mid-term review reports, annual programme reports, final programme report etc.,
5. Assist on scientific or technical review and shall provide an overall presentation at such reviews.
6. Managing the timeline and deliverables through the programme operations.
7. Interact with the technical teams and industry partners on visits regularly to engage with their home teams to ensure technology relevance.
8. Maintain fixed asset inventory and enforce high standard of document control and record keeping.

Prior experience with project management roles, exposure to different work environments, and a background on Electrical or Computer Engineering are highly valued.

Qualifications

The Signature Research Programme in Health Services & Systems Research (“HSSR”) in Duke-NUS Medical School is a centre of academic excellence for research and education on the organisation, funding and delivery of health services. The programme’s focus is on public health and clinical service innovation in an increasingly complex and connected world. The major research focus of HSSR is the organisation and delivery of health and social services in the context of an ageing population.

The research methods include decision science and simulation modelling, survey research, qualitative research, health economics, and implementation science and evaluation. We are also developing a range of education activities for health care professionals including short courses, graduate certificates, Masters course and PhD programmes.

A*STAR Infectious Diseases Labs (A*IDL) is seeking for a Research Scientist to join us in our mission to to be a leading centre for infectious diseases research excellence in antimicrobial resistance, respiratory and vector-borne diseases. A*ID Labs brings together infectious diseases expertise from across multiple disciplines to drive cutting edge translational infectious diseases research to contribute to Singapore’s national preparedness.

You will be joining the Mucosal Infection Lab. The lab focuses on modelling mucosal infection using in vitro and in vivo systems with priority antimicrobial resistance (AMR) bacteria to understand disease pathogenesis. Specifically, the projects will involve dissecting the mechanisms in the gut-liver axis during bacterial induced pyrogenic liver abscess. Candidates with prior experience working with liver diseases and single-cell RNAseq are preferred.

• Basic molecular and protein assay including PCR and ELISA
