The Cloud Application and Platform Group (CAP Group) from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, is seeking 1 motivated Research Fellow in CFD and energy areas.

The Research Fellow is expected to take the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing CFD and energy technical leadership to new research programs;
• Work closely with other team members to develop OpenFOAM methods, processes and workflows;
• Ensure that CFD simulations and analysis carried out within the department are aligned with the capability of the commercial tools;
• Conduct research into and analysis the energy usage of different scenarios;

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Applied Physics from a recognised university;

• Under the guide of service engineer, works from service manuals, maintenance manuals, and facility equipment schematics

The Senior Facade Designer prepares detailed design documents, throughout the project design process, from concept design through to detailed design and adminstration of design during contruction. This includes preparation of design drawings, design details, sketches and other required documents to produce final working documents.

Job duties and responsibilities

1. Work with project architect and / or Design Manager to produce detailed working documents for assigned projects
2. Update / maintain all reference files, reference materials and samples
3. Revise documents for active projects as required
4. Review shop drawings for completeness and conformance with design requirements
5. Maintain design files for all design documents including working drawings, as built drawings, shop drawings, submittals and other such documents
6. Assist in development of proposals, pricing and presentations for design work

This position is responsible for overseeing overall building maintenance and security operation for all Central Offices (“CO”), includes conducting inspection, coordinating maintenance/ improvement programs and projects, compile data for reporting and forecasting future needs and costs.

Responsibilities :

• Assist in operations and implementation of facilities management programmes, including formulating programmes relating to routine and periodic maintenance works, plan and implement the cyclical replacement/ enhancement works for all Central Offices
• Support Manager for preparation of operation and capital budget, monitoring and control to ensure completion within time and cost objectives.
• Assist in contract administration and management, including calling, evaluation, negotiation and award recommendation of tenders/ quotations.
• Support the effective planning and management of activities of outsourced service partners, providing supervision and controlling their performance
• Coordinate with internal associate engineers and the appointed managing agent to ensure maintenance of all systems are being carried out according to plan and contracted scope of work and manage facilities related to timely repair and replacement work.
• Assist to investigate, develop and implement solutions, trouble shoot on day to day operational problems of facilities and building.
• Assist to develop and implement policies, protocol and procedures to maintain full compliance with the prevailing legislative acts and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct periodical quality control inspections at all Central Offices for potential safety hazards and unsafe conditions, initiate corrective measures to maintain a secure, safe and healthy work environment (the inspections should include after office hours if need be).
• Attend to all emergency/crisis on and off hours and provide a timely response to incidents as they arise and assist in emergency management and contingency planning.

Requirements :

• Minimum Degree in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Facilities Management
