Our Ideal Candidate

• 8+ years experience ideally in the financial services space
• Knowledge of Policies: Understanding of the Credit Policies, Standards, Credit Risk Type Framework and various Credit Application Systems
• Regulatory framework and requirement: awareness and understanding of the regulations impacting credit risk.
• Ability to interpret regulations, identify gaps and implement changes.
• Prior experience in Credit Risk, credit Approval or credit Analysis experience would be a very strong contributing factor
• Excellent interpersonal skills and multi-cultural awakened and sensitivity.
• Ability to manage risk in geographically dispersed and highly varied product base. Experience in process design and control.
• Ad Hoc Projects: Ability to lead various projects / initiatives
• Non technical skills: Experience to manage multiple stakeholders, take ownership, dynamic, adhere to deadlines
• Banking training: Not mandatory but good to have Internal Credit certification for example, Core credit curriculum etc

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations such as GL, reconciliations etc.
• Ensure smooth monthly/quarterly head office & MAS reporting
• Review and enhance accounting internal controls and procedures
• Liaise with external auditors on audit matters
• Prepare tax schedules and liaise with external tax consultants on corporate tax related matters
• Assist in managing the accounting team in accounting deliverance
• Other administrative and ad hoc duties as required

Requirements:

• Degree holder with 5-6 years of accounting experience in Banks / Financial Institutions
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Meticulous and good with numbers
• Good interpersonal skills
• Effectively bilingual in English & Chinese due to reporting to China Head Office & colleagues
