MANAGER, LABORATORY & NUTRITIONAL SERVICES

Base: Singapore

Job Responsibilities:

Reporting to the CEO of the group, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and strategic development of our commercial laboratory. Your key duties will include but not limited as follow:

1. Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute strategic plans for the commercial laboratory in alignment with company goals.

2. Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations to maintain the highest quality in laboratory processes.

3. Client Engagement:

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring exceptional customer service.

4. Technical Expertise:

• Utilize your technical proficiency to guide laboratory staff, ensuring the implementation of reliable and up-to-date analytical methods.

5. Accreditation Management:

• Manage accreditation processes, particularly with SAC-SINGLAS and ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

6. Project Involvement:

• Take on a crucial role in the planning and execution of laboratory projects.

7. Continuous Improvement:

• Implement and oversee continuous improvement programs and initiatives.

8. Routine Reports:

• Provide routine reports to management on the status of laboratory operations.

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Chemistry or relevant field.

• 5 to 10 years of experience in commercial laboratory management.

• Strong knowledge of SAC-SINGLAS and ISO/IEC 17025 standards

• Knowledge on animal feed nutrition will be an advantage.

• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

1. Stakeholder Engagement

• Establish strong rapport and close communications with Partners through an integrated Account Management approach
• Work with Partners to drive plans that support their aspirations and development and facilitate collaborations with relevant stakeholders (internal and external)

2. Programme Management

• Support capacity development of Home Care and Centre-based services

3. Sector Operations Administration

• Review data from progress reports and develop insights on trends in utilisation of programmes / services

Job Requirements:

• Degree in any discipline
• Minimum 5 years of relevant healthcare experience

Marketing Plan and Revenue Management

• Comfortably and confidently answers questions and attends to queries or feedback regarding the restaurant.
• Makes recommendations to the manager on other potential sources of revenue e.g. promotions etc.
• Works closely with the manager to implement appropriate and effective measures to improve control of costs, expenses, and labour.
• Submits monthly sales analysis with improvement action plan.
• Uses revenue management tools to generate reports.
• Ensures all reports generated are accurate before submission.

Training, Learning and Development of the Team

• Conducts regular on the job trainings for colleagues to develop their skills and knowledge.
• Records and submits monthly On-the-Job Training hours to Food & Beverage Office before the 15th of each month.
• Guides the departmental orientation for new hires.
• Ensures that colleagues are aware of hotel rules and regulations.
• Ensures that colleagues are trained on fire and safety, emergency procedures and hygiene.

Other Responsibilities

• Performs any other duties that may be assigned by the manager.
• Coordinates all functions with Culinary Team, Catering Sales Team and Service Team to ensure maximum efficiency.
• Develops own knowledge and skills to grow as a leader.
