About the Team
EDB’s Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team spearheads EDB’s efforts in brand management, digital marketing, content/social media marketing and events and partnerships to establish Singapore as a trusted location for international investments.
[What you will be working on]
Marketing
As our marketing specialist for Japan and Southeast Asia (SEA), you will work as part of the team, with EDB’s International Operations, PR manager and appointed marketing agencies, to drive and execute an integrated marketing strategy to raise awareness of Singapore and generate and nurture leads amongst the business communities in Japan and SEA.
Main responsibilities:
Develop the GTM plan for Japan and SEA based on understanding of EDB’s business and marketing objectives, including annual planning and management of budget for the execution of marketing work plans
Manage the day-to-day operations and reporting of in-market marketing initiatives, including paid media campaigns, events and other ATL and BTL initiatives
Undertake content curation, layout and production of EDB’s in-market publications and website. This includes the identification of topics of interest or trending topics among target audience, and optimisation of workflows with vendors for content production and website maintenance
Planning and management of physical, virtual or hybrid events organised by EDB
Identify and coordinate with key multiplier organisations (including tax consultancies, inter-governmental and trade organisations) on joint-marketing initiatives to seed our key messages and generate leads
Manage internal and relevant external stakeholders. This includes EDB’s appointed marketing agencies on the development and execution of EDB’s marketing strategy, and servicing business enquiries from new clients by sharing relevant marketing resources
Support product owner of Event Management System GevMe to set up platform and train new EDB users
Depending on the candidate’s interests and experience, there are opportunities to also develop our marketing strategy and campaigns for global sectors like tech founders and other geographies.
[What we are looking for]
To meet the challenges of this role, you must have/be:
A university degree in any discipline
Minimum 5 years relevant working experience. Candidates should have proven track record working in similar capacity, preferably with experience with the Japan market
Results-oriented, with high level of initiative, drive and resourcefulness
Fast and independent learner who can learn on-the-job and deliver quality work with limited supervision
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate well with different stakeholders
Able to manage multiple projects while keeping to deadlines
Fluent in written and spoken Japanese (at least JLPT N2 or equivalent) to effectively nuance our in-market messages
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as well as virtual communications software (including Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
