Role Purpose
To manage and conduct specified Aesop Facial Treatments at Aesop Stores and Counters using the appropriate Aesop products and ingredients. Ensuring the highest level of service and consultation is provided to clients, the Facial Therapist actively seeks to develop the reputation and profile of the Aesop brand expanding their client base and contributes to maximising sales and financial growth. The Facial Therapist must always behave in a manner consistent with the values of Aesop. All decisions and actions are made in line with company procedures and guidelines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Our facial treatment spaces are a physical manifestation of our unique approach to both skin care and customer service. The successful candidate will possess a high standard of attention to detail and be responsible for: • Ensuring the Aesop’s approach to Treatments is upheld and demonstrated
• Ensuring the Aesop’s approach to Customer Service and Consultations is upheld and demonstrated
• Providing consistent and reliable service and operational excellence
• Understanding clients requirements and prescribing appropriate products and services
• Engaging with clients to manage and expand the Facial Therapy business
• Providing consultation by prescribing the right products to new and existing customers
• Communicating Aesop philosophy to our customers
• Ensuring the highest level of service and explanation is provided to customers
• Ensuring every aspect of the customer’s experience is positive and informative
• Maintaining inventory levels, and conduct weekly and monthly stock count
Financial Management
− Follow directions on managing controllable expenses
− Assist the Store/Counter Manager with cash handling and manage the banking in an appropriate and responsible manner
Operations
− Managing day-to-day operation of facial business
− Opening and closing responsibilities
Inventory Management
− Be conscious of stock loss, following directions on preventing shrinkage and escalating any issues
− Manage inventory of facial room with precision and in communication with store / counter manager to ensure all facial products are ordered and accounted for
− Assist with facial & store stocktakes and inventory control which includes, but not limited to, ordering, checking of stocks, cycle counts and bi-annual stocktakes
Sales
− Contribute to facial & store sales
− Understand store sales budget and performance against KPIs
− Support initiatives to improve product performance within facial team
Customer Experience
− Ensure the Aesop approach to customer service and consultations is upheld and demonstrated
− Resolve customer complaints in a timely and effective manner, escalating any issues to the Store Manager
− Stand for extended periods of time and undertake some lifting of up to 15kg
Brand Management
− Be aware of marketing and promotional initiatives
− Support shopping events
− Assist Store Manager with maintaining relationships within local community
− Adhere to standards for store and product presentation
Presentation
− Understand and meet Aesop’s dress and grooming standards
Communication
− Maintain effective, regular and Aesop appropriate communication with colleagues
− Attend and participate in forums and meetings
− Read and action all communications in a timely manner
Administration
− Complete all delegated administrative tasks in an accurate and timely manner
− Maintain proficient computer skills and program knowledge

• Previous beauty therapist experience, with products requiring specialist knowledge and demonstration-based techniques
• Certificate in Beauty Therapy, with a Diploma of Beauty Therapy being held in high regard
• Outstanding communication and people management abilities,
• Strong organizational and administration skills
• An understanding of the Aesop ethos
• A genuine dedication to facial therapy and the ability to work autonomously
