As the Manager of Software Implementation & Vessel Performance, your pivotal role within the technical department revolves around ensuring the successful implementation of new Ship Management Software across all ships and shore offices. Your primary responsibility lies in providing comprehensive training to all company employees, including both shore and ship staff, enabling them to proficiently utilize the various modules and functions of the Ship Management Software.

Furthermore, you will actively work to decrease overall energy consumption on board vessels through a range of measures. There are two main areas you will be responsible for:

Training and Implementation of Ship Management software:

• Ensuring data (i.e.spares, jobs, class, inventory, location and machinery planned maintenance system (MPMS certification) are accurately built, mapped and maintained in the PMS module.
• Monitoring and review job frequencies, overdue jobs and defects jobs on a routine basis.
• Managing the entire lifecycle of software for various modules including initial setup, activities and forms creation and modification, workflow changes and resolve queries from the Marine & Technical Team.
• Providing regular training to ship staff on ERP at company office for new joining staff / remotely through online meetings / by going on company managed vessels.
• Supporting and monitor any issues arising from the vessels by taking remote of vessel computers.
• Making sure that the software is utilised to full extent by the vessels.
• Regular communication with external vendor to resolve the issues and successful implementation of various modules.

The junior data scientist will join the Precision Radiotherapeutics and Oncology Programme (PROP). The scope of the projects conducted under the premise of PROP includes 1) early- and late-phase clinical trials; 2) cancer genomics and data science; and 3) translational cancer and radiation biology. For this role, the selected individual will be mainly working with the Principal Investigator (PI) and the research team under Theme 2.

Theme 2 projects involve studying cancer genomics of two main cancers, nasopharyngeal and prostate cancer. The data scientist will be required to analyse next generation sequencing (NGS) datasets, such as whole transcriptome sequencing, whole exome sequencing and/or panel sequencing data. He/she will also be involved in inter-departmental and cross-institution collaborations.   • Assist with the regular review of SportSG and the NSA policies to keep them relevant and updated.
  • Assist in the review of safety management regulations set by SportSG and its attendant NSAs and align them SMU based Sports and Adventure activities.
  • Network with other counterparts from local IHL and overseas university to exchange ideas, strengthen relationships and forge mutually beneficial partnerships when the opportunity presents itself.
• Internal operational/administrative functions of the Sports and Adventure cluster
  • Contribute relevant expertise and experience to the cluster's aggregate competencies in the Sports and Adventure cluster.
  • Helm and manage the cluster's marketing and communication efforts.
  • Perform the role as the cluster's Data Protection Officer and PDPA representative.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationship with other units and offices to promote Sports and Adventure initiatives/events/participation.
  • Assist with the organising of competitions within the Singapore University Sports Council (SUSC) and Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic Council (IVPC).
  • Assist with the manage the operations of SMU sports facilities (eg. SMU Gymnasium, swimming pool and Multi-Purpose Sports Hall).
  • Any other roles and responsibilities as assigned by RO.

• University degree in any field.
• At least 4 years of experience in a role working on sports and student development programmes.
• Experience working with SportSG, NSAs or other IHLs in collaborative projects/sporting events.
• Experience in the management of sporting events and facilities will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Facilitation skills and knowledge of assessment of learning outcomes will be a key advantage.
• Possess strong organizing, coordinating and administrative capabilities.
• Possess strong analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to guide, influence and be assertive with colleagues and students where necessary.
• Experienced in managing major student events.
• Experienced in coaching and mentoring students.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with min 3+ years of technical support experience delivering/ enabling support for enterprise applications or being in customer success/account management
• Experience of enterprise cloud software and concepts (e.g. Single Sign On), integration with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS), and APIs
• Demonstrated experience of excellent troubleshooting of customer and partner escalations in a ticket based workflow while achieving SLA requirements and managing critical escalations
• Leverage tools and technology to deliver value to multiple accounts at once through one to many programs
• Excellent communicator with the ability to simplify and clearly explain technical concepts to a non-tech savvy audience
• Excellent analytical skills to accurately respond to customer and partner needs at scale
• Ability to build relationships and effectively leverage them to remove blockers and expedite work
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
