Job Duties:
- Responsible for Market research and establish strategy to develop newbuilding & conversion business opportunities worldwide and implement the same.
Projects will include the following characteristics.
- Newbuilding of LNG FSRU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit), LNG FSU (Floating Storage Unit).
- Conversion of LNG FSRU to fit the terminal requirements.
- Conversion of LNG FSRU to fuel the powerships (electric power generation ships) in emerging countries.
- Gather information of CCUS market and new technologies
- Newbuilding of LCO2 (Liquefied Carbon Dioxide) carriers for Asian regions
- Development of LCO2 carrier specification with new type of cargo tank
With above projects, candidates are expected to conduct below activities.
- Lead technical support as main PIC of customer interface for business opportunities of CCUS projects and for business execution of FSRU projects.
- Developing technical specifications.
- Technical/financial evaluation of contractors’ quotations.
- Establishing strategies & execution of ship building contract, ship conversion contract, engineering contract, procurement of equipment, project execution planning.
- Management of construction site office. Schedule, manpower distribution, technical/financial decision making.
- Control of contractors such as design company, shipyard, maker of equipment, service providers, class.
- Reporting of progress to Singapore office and head office.
Job Requirements:
- Degree of naval architecture and ocean engineering, bachelor and master course, top-tier university.
- 12 years or more experience in top-tier newbuilding shipyard, among which 8 years or more experience in dockyard office. 5 years or more experience in top-tier shipping company, in gas-ship-related department.
- Fluent or high proficiency in English.
- Experience at both newbuilding vessel (at least 30) and conversion vessel (at least 5) projects. Need to submit the list of such vessels.
- Experience as shipping company’s representative site manager at shipyard site office.
- Possess the experience of delivering vessel without delay under obstacles such as sanction, epidemic, shipyard merging.
- Full spectrum of knowledge on newbuilding specification and cost.
- Possess excellent negotiation skills and ability to influence shipyards including but not limited to logic of calculation of each cost component, vessel performance and scheme sheet.
- Hydrodynamic/hydrostatic knowledge of model test, dynamic positioning, stability, metocean analysis, relevant regulations.
- Capable of negotiating all sentences of terms and conditions in ship building contract.
