A new and exciting Business Analyst for a global bank in Singapore. Looking for someone with experience in trade processing experience and strong asset classes experience coming from a technology background.

Requirements:

· 10+ years of relevant experience in full project delivery life cycle, in a business analyst capacity

· Solid product knowledge across asset classes encompassing product & trade life cycle

· Excellent understanding of the FO to BO trade flow of financial products, including Middle Office, Operations and Finance activities.

· Ability to accurately translate and document business needs into functional requirements and produce high quality documentation (knowledge of UML, BPML notations are a plus)

· Good understanding of key technology concepts, basics in logical/physical data models, programming and architecture. (Strong technical acumen is a plus)

· Familiarity with ISDA FPML and CDM standards

· Having worked on Loan Platforms (LIQ) is a plus.

· Strong communication and presentation skills with excellent written and spoken English

· Ability to work proactively, independently and displays strong initiative

· Pragmatic team player with good attention to detail

· Strong interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Business or related field of study

Job Responsibilities:

• Significant experience working in business analysis (and Project Management)
• Experience gained in Financial Services, especially Global Markets (or Wealth Management)

Our client is a major Insurance player - looking to build a team of Data Business Analysts who can act as a bridge between technology and business to work on data solutions.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Work with Business Stakeholders, Project Managers and Technology teams to assist in the implementation and maintenance of data projects.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate business requirements into data requirements.
• Conduct data mapping workshops with technology teams and business stakeholders to source for required data.
• Create validation datasets for business stakeholders to ensure requirements are met.
• Provide ETL team with clear understanding of data mapping and discuss on potential code optimisation.
• Work with business stakeholders to come up with data quality rules.
• Engage with both business and technology stakeholders during testing, driving defect investigation and resolution.
• Support change requests by assessing impact on downstream processes and driving required changes in mapping.
• Support documentation of data-related artefacts required for compliance with data governance.

Experience / Skills

• Good communication skills and experience in collaborating with different team members from business and technology.
• Good understanding of enterprise applications, business processes and business requirement analysis.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, ability to manage timelines and adapt to project needs.
• Work experience in regulatory reporting projects such as IFRS 4, IFRS 17, BCBS 239 etc. is added advantage.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, or any other data querying language.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or other business intelligence tools.
• Insurance domain knowledge is an added advantage.

Qualification

• Degree in Maths / Statistics / Analytics/ Technology/ Business or a relevant discipline
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a business analyst or data analyst role working with business stakeholders
• Working experience in at least one project related to business intelligence, reporting or data warehousing.
• Having 1 or more of the following experiences:Working knowledge in database and system design
  Working knowledge about querying data, data visualization and data analysis

Experience in Payments ( FAST, GIRO and PayNow)

6-10 years of experience

You will be part of the Payments product team and execute initiatives in following areas:

• There are several MAS led initiatives under payment transformation- such as cheque sunset, Electronic Deferred Payment, FAST 2.0 which require timely execution from requirements till implementation.
• International Payments: Commercialise Global Money with focus to increase FX revenue and execute group led enhancements for better customer proposition.
• Domestic Payments: Lead migration to digital payments, reduce paper.
• Fraud mitigation: MAS mandated items to be completed in addition to in-house tuning of fraud control rules.

Principal responsibilities

• Identify business opportunities and gaps to exploit in order to achieve competitive edge in the retail banking payments and remittances business across both domestic and international payments.
• Manage current and future payments initiatives and projects.
• Work closely with local, regional, and global stakeholders to ensure successful deliveries.
• Own and coordinate regulatory reporting and collateral.
• Attend industry and regulator meetings when required.
• Assist in product governance related matters.

Preferred experience

Incumbent should have 6-10 years of industry experience in transaction banking area. Knowledge of payments, is desirable while ability to independently execute a project with minimal supervision will be advantageous.
