Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain control over all project documents, ensuring accuracy and accessibility throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate and manage project-specific inspection documents, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.
- Create, manage, and track Requests for Information (RFIs) from the field to Architect/Engineer for clarification and resolution.
- Maintain and distribute project plans to relevant stakeholders.
- Regularly update and manage project records to reflect current project status and documentation.
- Assist the Project Manager or Director in developing and delivering project schedules.
- Thoroughly understand project plans and specifications to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Research construction standards to determine the most suitable construction methods for the project.
- Support the project team in resolving conflicts that may arise between investors, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Facilitate the timely transfer of documents from subcontractors to Architects/Engineers for approval, ensuring alignment with project plans and specifications.
- Provide clarification and answer questions from field staff regarding project plans and specifications.
- Assist the Project Director or Owner in obtaining construction permits for the project.
- Create, document, and apply for Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) permits and Notices of Intent (NOIs) as required by state and local regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance throughout the project.
- Coordinate the management, creation, and negotiation of project change orders between Project Managers and the Owner.
- Conduct and document weekly project meetings with owners to review progress and make decisions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in project safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Provide support to the Project Manager/Director as needed in various project-related tasks.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of project progress reports to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Design Team and Owner to ensure project objectives are met.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within project operations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Proven experience in project engineering or related role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction documents, project plans, and specifications.
- Proficiency in document control and management software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with construction safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software.
