As a Staff Engineer in the Product Engineering organization at Marvell, you will be part of a brilliant growing team of engineers that solves complex problems. In this role, you will be working with our design, product & test development team in US and in APAC; supporting new product introduction projects & activities to ensure smooth transition of these new products from development to manufacturing phase. You will also be responsible for developing and tracking the fully life cycle of the project from beginning to its final completion

What You Can Expect

• Responsible for New Product Introduction, initial phase of silicon bring up working with NPI Product and Test team.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams, (Test, Foundry, Reliability, Engineering teams) to drive NPI development.
• Analyze yield at engineering sample phase and characterize NPI product performances and manufacturing yield window
• Perform data and statistical analysis on wafer sort and final test
• Support test engineering on resolving test program related issues
• Plan and drive for (data analysis, debug, root-cause, implementing solutions) yield & test time improvement activities to meet the set mass production release goals

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields and 3-5 years of related professional experience.
• Working knowledge of Automated Test Equipment (ATE), Advantest 93K, test handler, is a plus
• Strong analytical skills and statistically literate. Knowledge of yield analysis, quality management tools

The Job

1. Responsible for assembly, debug and test run of customized modular machines and it’s commissioning.

2. Provide on-site technical support at customer premise for equipment operation.

Job Description

• Provide engineering support for wide range of products (RF / Mixed Signal / Digital)/Power Management) through all phases from development to production release
• Work closely with test engineering team and production support team to drive debug activities, reliability qualification and yield enhancement
• Close interaction with Product Test Engineering/Design team and Communicate technical product status to management
• Establish with customers on product testing requirements and production release requirements
• Follow up with Foundries and test subcontractors/SAT houses to resolve all production issues.
• Provide detailed status reports at each phase, test limit (guard band) generation, correlation and yield summary reports
• Support Yield improvement, Test Time Reduction and retest rate improvement for production ramp

Job Requirements

• Graduates from Diploma/ Degree in Electronics / Electrical Engineering
• 2- 5 years relevant experience on the Product/Test Engineering with foundry process background preferred.
• Experience in leading the technical team is added advantage.
• Solid understanding of test concepts on digital , PMIC, Mixed Signal and RF products
• Hands on experience using Advantest 93K ATE
• Good experience with statistics and data mining.
• Strong Data analysis skill & exposure on any Statistical Analysis Software’s JMP, CEDA or Data power and Optimal plus tool knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge in scripting (perl/java/vba) and automation in reporting is a plus.
• Very strong verbal and written communication skills and able to work independently

Responsibilities

• Participate in new product development project from concept to launch
• Support and improve existing product lines
• Support activities to reduce production cost, lead-time and improve product reliability and quality
• Collaborate with external partners in joint product development projects
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, product specifications, production schedules, and any other deliverables
• Establish engineering specifications and production processes to meet technical, functional and quality requirements
• Coordinate and support manufacturing of prototypes and products to ensure reliability and quality of product
• Develop and perform assembly and test procedures for product according to specifications
• Identify and resolve all issues effectively to achieve all objectives
• Ensure proper documentation (including manuals) of all required information for product/projects
• Support product installations and any necessary diagnoses, troubleshooting, service, and repair
• Provide product training and support internally and distributors

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical or System related Engineering
• 3-5 years relevant experience in product development
• A good team player with strong interpersonal communication skill
• Self-motivated and able to take ownership of appointed task to follow through to completion with little supervision
• Familiar with programming languages C and C++
• Knowledge on Windows OS
• Basic understanding on schematic and Gerber
