As a Director’s Assistant, you will play a meaningful role in supporting the Director in both administrative and creative aspects of production. You will ensure that the Director's schedule is managed efficiently and that communication between departments and clients is smooth. The ideal candidate is big on film-craft, detail-oriented and resourceful.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Directors with treatment research for visual and music references during project pitches.
• Liaise with production teams to ensure the Director’s creative vision is communicated and executed effectively and on time.
• Provide creative input where appropriate and assist in reviewing and editing project materials.
• Attend shoots and meetings with the Director, taking notes.
• Assist the Director with tasks and errands as required, particularly during high-pressure production periods.
• Ensure all materials needed for shoots and meetings are prepared in advance (scripts, storyboards, shot lists, etc.).

Requirements

• Great passion for film and cinematography.
• Proven experience in TVC or media production roles.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively.
• An understanding of the TVC production process, with the ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environments.
• Ability to anticipate the Director’s needs and act proactively.
• Flexible working hours and a willingness to be available during shoots or urgent project needs.
• Awareness and knowledge of camera equipment and cinematography.
• Familiarity with creative and technical terminology in the media industry is an advantage.

Additional Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Media, Communications, Film, or a related field.
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a support or assistant role, ideally in media production.
• Knowledge of TVC production and digital content workflows is a plus.

[What you will be working on]

You are required to work closely within a team, with other NEA departments as well as other partners and various government agencies/bodies.

You will be responsible for the following:

Coordinating with Arborist and Landscaping contractors

1. Coordinate with both arborist and landscaping contractors, to ensure work is followed up promptly and in compliance with contract requirements.
2. Track work progression, and ensure reports are submitted as scheduled.
3. Work with the relevant agencies and stakeholders on trees related works.
4. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) to contractors.
5. Conduct site verifications on work done and manage payments to contractors.
6. Consolidate, update, track and maintain inventory central database.
7. Conduct regular Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) meetings and toolbox.
8. Attend to, investigate and resolve feedback from members of public and stakeholders.

You will also be collaborating with the contract management team and Environmental Public Health Operations Group to develop requirement specifications, processes for workflow and risk management in order to implement a managing agent model for the overall grass cutting, horticulture and landscaping services in NEA’s cemeteries.

Job Purpose

You are required to provide underwriting support for all product lines in New Business Underwriting (NBU)

The Job

· Underwrite new applications for life, accident & health and long term care proposals

· Lead a team of underwriters, countersign their work and provide guidance to them

· Provide underwriting advice & support for financial planners through e-booking, emails and phone calls

· Provide critical liaison and build strong business relationship between NBU and distribution channels

· Conduct underwriting training for distribution channels

· Project management, e.g. reviewing underwriting guidelines, reviewing & streamlining work processes to support business operations

· Ensure all department KPIs are achieved

· Continuous Customer Engagement: to keep the financial planners updated on a continuous basis throughout the assessment of new business applications - through phone calls, emails and meetings (if required). This would include sharing details of the queries raised, possible options to expedite case closures and for postponed or declined cases. To ensure that we proactively engage with the financial planners and provide best in class customer service.

· Take accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks

· Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company

· Highlight any potential concerns/ risks and proactively share best risk management practices

Our Requirements

· Degree with at least 8 years’ experience in underwriting Life, Accident and Health risks

· Non-degree holders who have relevant experience or certification in underwriting may be considered
