What is business development?

Business development deals with the operational and strategic development of a company. This involves discovering and developing new business areas or new products so that the company can expand.

A business development manager (BDM) is responsible for ensuring that development and implementation in this area are carried out consistently and successfully. As a business developer, you're constantly on the hunt for new ways to develop your company.

The aim is for future customers to be satisfied overall with the company and its products. And turnover increases as a result.

What are the tasks of a business developer?

What does a business developer do? Basically, everything revolves around figuring out how to advance a company in a future-oriented way and how to help it to grow.

This might involve asking questions like:

· Where should the company be within a certain period of time (e.g. in 2 years)?

· Which customers and/or partners do we need to achieve our goals?

· Optimize site merchandising of a category: understand the market trend, improve search and discoverability.

· Pricing & Promotions; execute storewide and category-specific promotions and events.

· Support Marketing & Advertising activities to promote category awareness and visibility.

· Work with buyer team to ensure appropriate availability of the product.

Pre-Requisites

· 2-5 years of experience in merchandising

· An effective negotiator, able to understand and influence stakeholders.

· Organized and efficient time management; able to juggle multiple priorities and deliverables.

· Good team player; verbal and written communication skills.

· Capable of working independently

Responsibilities

• Handle receivables and payables for physical products trading transactions.
• Import LC issuance and Export LC negotiation.
• Review trade contracts.
• Coordinate with Operations on trade and shipment information.
• Follow up on the approval for payments.
• Handle payments for cargo and direct expenses.
• Maintain updated trade information in the system for the month-end accounts closing.
• Provide information on receivables and payables for Treasury's cashflow planning.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Degree in Accounting/Finance/Banking/Commerce/Maritime Studies or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in handling payments/invoicing/trade finance.
• LC knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good quantitative skills and meticulous.

Job Description

· Handles daily administrative clinic work, tally and check on daily reports.

· Responsible for daily check on stock usage and patch recording or data entry of any differences.

· Responsible for daily check on machine condition and locations.

· Assess and score the clinic SOP compliance of the operation team including doctors and report to HQ management.

· Check-in customers, record the visits and update customer information on internal database.

· Attend to customers’ enquiries and provide excellent customer service.

· Assist consultants to prepare the sales documents and consent annex.

· Handles booking of appointments, sending appointment reminders via WhatsApp

Requirement

· Minimum Poly diploma or Bachelor’s degree from reputable universities preferably in Business Admin, Science or Health Sciences.

· 2 years of relevant experience preferably from service / hospitality / healthcare / retail industry.

· Good English verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in English communication and writing.

· Ability to read, write, and converse in Chinese will be an added advantage as liaising with Chinese customers.

· Able to handle English and Mandarin speaking customers with proven Customer Service ability.

· An organized person and systematic thinker.

· Pleasant personality, impeccable integrity, responsible, responsive, able to work under pressure and independently.

· Proficient in IT systems.

About the role:

Accounts Executive, Payroll

Reporting to the Accountant, we are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Accounts Executive, Payroll to manage the hotel’s payroll system, ensuring the timely and accurate processing of wages in compliance with applicable tax laws and Four Seasons Hotel Singapore policies. This role requires knowledge of any Payroll software, strong technical expertise in payroll processes and accounting principles.

What you will do:

• Accurately input and process payroll data for the preparation of cheques.
• Review employee status changes and ensure correct data entry into the payroll system.
• Reconcile discrepancies in pay cheques with Department Heads or individual employees.
• Assist with the reconciliation of Banquet and F&B outlet tips and service charges.
• Conduct annual payroll audits for each department and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain and file all bi-weekly payroll documentation.
• Support month-end processes, including payroll journals and accruals.
• Ensure payroll taxes are accurately collected, remitted, and filed in a timely manner.
• Ensure labour law compliance regarding overtime, job classifications, and service charges.
• Prepare labour and productivity reports for discussion with Department Heads and the Assistant Director of Finance.
• Assist with special audits such as Workers' Compensation and Labour Compliance.

What you bring:

• Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in payroll or accounting, ideally within the hospitality industry.
• Proficiency in payroll systems, with experience in TIMES Payroll being an advantage.
• Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and payroll-related financial reporting. Knowledge of relevant labour laws and regulations regarding payroll, payroll taxes and employee compensation.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Ability to process large volumes of data with a high degree of accuracy.
• High level of professional integrity and ethical standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain harmonious relationships with colleagues and supervisors.
• Confidentiality and discretion in handling sensitive payroll information.
• Ability to work in an organised, safe, and efficient manner under pressure.

Schedule & Hours:
