• Meetings with Client, Contractors relating to contracts and claims.
• Advises the Project Director/Project Manager, Construction Manager and Client Officers on contractual aspects of the contracts.
• Provides oversight and guidance to the Quantity Surveyor (QS) on the overall contractors’ progress claims and variation orders, interim valuation and payment, Client’s Programme
• Budget and cost control, and the settlement of final accounts.
• Provides guidance and advice to the QS and RSS teams towards the quality and consistent

Requirements

• Degree or any other qualification approved by the Board.
• About 15 years of working experience in managing multi-disciplinary claims ranging from civil structure to MEICS works.
• Well verse with Public Sector Conditions of Contract. Preferably involves projects related to water and/or wastewater treatment plants.
• Possess knowledge of contruction and material management and the ability to provide cost and financial advices.
• Shall be proficient and have the necessary skills and expertise in drafting of specifications and Bill of Quantities for the construction works.

Job Role Description:

The Project Manager oversees the planning and all project operations. He/She manages the progress of the project and ensures quality and timely delivery. The Project Manager will be required to travel to project sites. Good communication skills are needed to liaise with the various stakeholders.

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing and reviewing operational policies, standards and procedures related to project logistics, including but not limited to integrating and installing automations, rigging and lifting technology. He/She is also responsible for managing relationships with logistics operations managers and managing project logistics resources, including manpower, internal assets and external vendors.

Resourceful and analytical, he/she is required to manage resources and obtain buy-in among internal and external stakeholders. He/She is also expected to lead a department and make business decisions independently.

The Senior Project Manager is involved in the building, installation and execution of solar projects and ensure that all installations are as per the design and specifications layout. He/She is also involved in the regular maintenance or troubleshooting of the solar projects. He/She drives projects in all aspects of process and engineering design. He/She leads process development initiatives and see-through project life cycle, ensuring schedules and timeline are adhered to and in line with objectives. He/She works closely with contractors in quotation matters as well as service delivery. The Project Manager manages budget to ensure cost-effectiveness. He/She oversees new plant set up.
