We are looking for an experienced and detailed oriented General Ledger Executive/Assistant Manager, for one of
our global shipping clients. The position will assist the department with General Ledger Accounting, Projects, and
Audit. The ideal candidate would have at least 2 years of relevant experience in audit firm and commercial group
reporting experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the Company’s general ledger.
• Handle analytical review of financial statements and preparation of year end statutory accounts,
preparing and maintaining audit schedules.
• Liaising with the Company’s external auditors.
• Prepare and monitor funding position of assigned vessels and / or companies.
• Participate in the monthly review and financial closing process.
• Handle tax compliance submission, prepare journal entries and maintain accounting schedules as
required.
• Maintain fixed assets information in a timely and accurate manner.
• Perform revaluation and allocation function in financial system as appropriate.
• Perform intercompany, loan, derivative and bank-related ledger entries.
• Prepare ad-hoc financial information on request. (e.g. Singapore Department of Statistics surveys)
• Participate in enhancing departmental procedures through continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assisting accounting manager in other ad hoc assignments.
Requirements
• Degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years relevant work experience in general ledger accounting or managing full set
of accounts.
• Prior experience in Big 4 accounting firm preferred.
• Strong computer skills and experience in computerized accounting/ERP systems. (e.g. Oracle
EBS/Microsoft Navision) an advantage.
• Comfortable to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Organized, meticulous with a keen eye for detail.
