As an Assistant Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. The skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

• Perform, monitor and/or review customers due diligence, onboarding of customers to assure compliance with the AML rules and requirements.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of accounts and opportunities for purposes of onboarding, risk management and KYC assessment through Salesforce.
• Provide advice and guidance to employees on compliance-related matters.
• Develop and deliver compliance training programs to employees.
• Complete the annual compliance monitoring program.
• Any other compliance related matters and ad-hoc projects.

About You

• At least 4 to 7 years of banking regulatory or external audit experience in a big 4 audit firm, regulator or financial institution. Previous employment with regulator(s) will be highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, particularly in areas of corporate treasury risk function and risk management (with focus on market, liquidity and credit risks).
• Experience in local MAS and global regulatory requirements preferred. This includes Basel regulatory requirements (FRTB, CVA, IBOR transition, etc), Risk Based Capital Adequacy requirements, amongst others.
• Experience in performing internal audits or internal control reviews preferred.
• Meticulous and attention to details, possessing an analytical and enquiring mind-set.
• Good verbal and written communication skill in English. Additional proficiency in Mandarin will be an advantage.
• Professional, confident and highly motivated self-starter, with an ability to handle multiple engagements/projects in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines. Positive attitude to learn and strong team player.
• Possess strong values, personal integrity and emotional intelligence.

The Business Development Manager is a key contributor to business activities relating to Sales within the stated geographical region. The role will primarily involve hunting, winning, and acquiring new business and customers for the organisation, lead the engagement and grow assigned customers, lead, and prepare customer quotations and proposals, increase the organization's revenue, volumes and gross profit, execute business development strategies and tactics, and assist management and leadership in the formulation of sales planning, tactics and strategies when required.

Primary Functions

• Hunt, win and acquire new business and customers for the organization (Note that this is a pure hunting role)

• Lead the engagement and grow assigned customers in country

• Maintain positive and close relationships with all assigned customers

• Lead and prepare customer quotations and proposals

• Meet targets and/or increase the organization's revenue, volumes, and gross profit

• Execute business development strategies and tactics

• Assist management and leadership in the formulation of sales planning, tactics and strategies when required.

• Interact with local and regional product teams (including Air, Ocean, and others) on securing the best rates in the market for customer proposal purposes.

• Manage and analyze the performance of owned customers, identify the need for action and execute these actions

• Support and/or enable the growth of assigned accounts regionally or globally if required.

Secondary Functions

• Work collaboratively with leadership & related stakeholders to implement new & existing sales initiatives.

• Work on tenders/RFQs/Bids if required

• Positive internal stakeholder relationship management - Tech, Product, CS, Operations & others

• Contribute ideas on process improvements & implementation of related improvements.

Job Requirements:

• Degree level or equivalent

• Min. 5 years in a customer facing role in freight forwarding, shipping line, air cargo, logistics, supply chain or similar industries, in the roles of business development, sales, commercial, operations or customer service.

• Pure hunting role. Working knowledge of freight forwarding and/or logistics related operations and selling process is a MUST.

• Experienced as Air freight hunter role
