Facilities Management (FM) Technician
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct preventive maintenance and inspections of installations, fixtures, equipment, common facilities, and property to ensure they are clean, safe, and in good working condition.
- Perform minor building, mechanical, and electrical repair works, including handyman tasks (e.g., changing light bulbs, resetting drawer locks).
- Address maintenance service requests by investigating issues and implementing corrective actions for equipment breakdowns or faults detected during routine checks.
- Perform regular inspections (daily, weekly, and monthly) of key facilities, systems, and critical areas.
- Supervise and coordinate the rectification of defects, maintenance, replacement, and upgrading works carried out by contractors.
- Oversee contractor/vendor activities related to building facilities maintenance, including M&E systems, horticulture, cleaning, and pest control.
- Monitor utility consumption by recording water and electricity meter readings, reporting any abnormal usage.
- Assist in fire safety management, emergency response, and business continuity planning for the premises.
- Liaise with stakeholders to ensure projects and maintenance works comply with fire, health, and safety standards.
- Coordinate meeting venue setups, including audio-visual equipment, seating arrangements, and cleaning services.
- Maintain and update records for engineering systems and breakdown incidents.
- Perform any additional facilities management duties arising from building operations as required.
Job Qualifications
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in building operations and facilities maintenance.
- Minimum qualification of NITEC/Higher NITEC in Facility Management, Mechanical & Electrical Services, or equivalent.
- Additional experience in electrical systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, FM200, fire alarms, sprinklers, high- and low-voltage switchboards is advantageous.
- Relevant certifications, such as Electrical Worker License, Singapore Certified Energy Manager (Associate), or Green Mark Facilities Manager, will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while being a strong team player in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
