RESPONSIBILITIES

The Staff Nurse is responsible for facilitating change and improving lives for individuals, families, community facing transitional challenges through the provision of direct services.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Sales Manager, Team Lead, your main responsibilities are to increase MSC's market presence by canvasing cargoes for specified export trade lanes to achieve target lifting, respond to request for quotations from customers and / or prospects, as well as maintain customer relationships. Your key responsibilities include:

• Develop new clienteles / cargo bookings through referrals, newspaper, magazines, MSC's network and telemarketing;
• Achieve close level of support with client through daily contact, regular visit and entertainment i.e lunch, dinner, etc, to secure business;
• Track destination ports controlled shipments, to obtain full details from shipper (i.e full style address, commodity, rates if any) and send as sales leads to respective Port of Discharge to secure business;
• Ensure customers know the whereabouts of shipment through MSC Internet shipment tracking and tracing system;
• Attend to customer's complaint and co-ordinate with internal departments (Documentation, Operation, Finance and Cargo Flow Management) to resolve any issues and uphold our service commitment to customers.

• Administration of the Community Service Graduation Requirement
  • Manage the Community Service common mailbox, ensuring prompt responses to emails.
  • Attend to student queries (via emails and walk-ins) regarding the Community Service graduation requirement.
  • Assist students in finding suitable Community Service opportunities.
  • Follow-up with students and external partners for updates on Community Service hours and performance appraisals.
  • Update and maintain student records in a timely manner.

• Project Management and Reporting Support
  • Provide administrative support for project management of local and overseas projects, including safety assessments, risk management and financial procedures.

  • Ensure the timely submissions of pre-departure documents for overseas projects.
• Outreach and Marketing
  • Assist in designing, crafting and dissemination of volunteer recruitment EDMs to students.
  • Set-up a story bank containing quotes, reflections, stories and information on past and present Community Service Projects.
  • Enhance the visibility and publicity of community service initiatives by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to showcase the achievements and projects of students.
  • Assist in designing and producing marketing collaterals.
  • Provide support in planning and executing events such as symposiums, award ceremonies and community service fairs.
• Other Administrative Duties
  • Conduct surveys to identify students' interests and passions in specific social causes.
  • Coordinate platforms or avenues for students to pitch their ideas for Community Service Projects.
  • Any other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

• Minimum Diploma with 3 years of relevant work experience in the social service/non-profit sector.
• Good understanding of the social service landscape/non-profit sector and having prior experience in stakeholder management.

Work done will be at the direction of the PI, and where relevant, the Industry Director and Centre Director.As the Programme is interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary by nature, you will be expected to convey yourdomain expertise and edify others (and vice versa) in as productive, constructive, and collaborative a manner as possible.

You may be asked to participate in the development of use cases and delivery of proof-of-concept prototypesfor government and industry partners in the areas of computable contracts and "rules as code". Experience inrequirements analysis and agile, iterative methodologies will be useful at this stage.The work of the team will be largely determined by these use cases and customers. We will work with multipleuse cases so that we can abstract across them and develop generalized, reusable infrastructure. We will workwith specific customers so we can build useful applications on top of that infrastructure.You will contribute to the design and development of open-source software written to serve those use cases.You will work as part of a team of research engineers, developers, and domain expertise and you will beexpected to actively participate in team meetings and text-based communications. You will be expected to beactive members of the applied research community, by validating and contributing to advances incomputational law.

You may be asked to conduct use-inspired research at the direction of the Principal Investigator. This includes

• reading academic papers, standards publications, and related material such as blog posts and presentations;
• coming up to speed in fields which may be new to you, such as computational linguistics, mathematical logic, programming language design, formal verification, and model-based architecture;
• reading (and updating/commenting, relevant) existing software documentation;

• evaluating competing software systems for suitability;
• building infrastructure to enable application development;
• managing yourself, and managing fellow team members;
• engaging in product, project, and program management as needed;
• reading books and consuming such other media forms about software development;
• writing documentation such as user/developer-facing manuals, tutorials;
• delivering community support to users and customers;
• preparing presentations to represent the project before external audiences; and
• writing actual user-facing applications throughout the "full stack", in each case, documenting, reporting, and/or presenting the same in clearly and efficiently, both internally and externally.

Researchers under the Programme should possess both mastery of their academic speciality, and demonstrated practical experience producing and supporting high-quality open-source code throughcommunity engagement across multiple media. Candidates must have Bachelor's, Master's, Ph.D., or alternative qualifications in computer science, software engineering, (symbolic) artificial intelligence, computational linguistics, or formal methods.

Fluency in multiple natural languages, and any experience with law, are a plus.
