Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Funds Selection Specialist to join our growing investment team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in finance (private banking, asset management, investment banking), with a strong background in fund analysis and selection. Our approach to investment is market class agnostic, embracing a wide range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, commodities, real estate, insurance, etc. We are also strategy agnostic, considering various investment strategies from long only (mutual funds and ETFs) to long/short, relative value, quant and arbitrage. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our platform's growth by maintaining fund data integrity, evaluating new strategies, and enhancing our investment process.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Maintain our systems up-to-date with comprehensive funds data, including net asset values (NAVs), drawdowns, risk metrics, and other relevant information.
- Investment Reporting: Write detailed investment reports on new strategies being added to our platform, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Performance Analysis: Identify underperforming fund managers by conducting thorough analysis and evaluations, contributing to the optimization of our fund selection.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and lead quarterly calls with underlying managers to discuss performance, strategies, and outlook, ensuring alignment and understanding of our investment goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related field.
- At least 2 - 5 years of relevant experience in funds selection, investment analysis, or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- CFA/CAIA are not mandatory but are a plus.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a proven ability to assess financial data and investment strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging effectively with fund managers and internal teams.
- Proficiency in financial databases and software, with a keen eye for detail in managing data accuracy.
- Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Meeting with clients may be required occasionally.
