Prepare menu ingredients base on order. Create new recipe whenever needed. Train new cooks and junior chef on company cuisine, plan staff roster for the kitchen team, lead the team on day to day operation. Ensure cleanliness of rthe food preparation area, liaise with HQ for food order and handle suppliers order.

Job Overview:

As a member of the Central Kitchen Chef, you will be responsible for the preparation and production of menu items according to standardized recipes. This role requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to meet production targets.

For this position, you will be working in Non-Halal kitchen, handling raw Fish, Beef and Pork.

Responsibilities: Food Preparation:

• In charge of the preparation of ingredients and components for menu items following established recipes and portion sizes

Production Efficiency:

• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely production of menu items.
  Follow production schedules to meet the demands of franchise locations.
  

Quality Control:

• Adhere to quality control measures to ensure consistency and compliance with brand standards.
  Participate in regular quality checks of ingredients and finished products.
  

Cleanliness and Sanitation:

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  Contribute to the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the central kitchen.
  

Team Collaboration:

• Communicate effectively with other members of the central kitchen team.
  Assist in cross-functional tasks as needed to support the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food production environment is preferred.
  Willingness to learn and follow standardized procedures.
  Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment.
  Strong work ethic and commitment to meeting production targets.
  Ability to follow directions and execute tasks with attention to detail.
  Willingness to adapt to changing production needs and kitchen priorities.
  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Production Jr Sous Chef is responsible for, though not limited to,

● Oversee the preparation and production of food in a designated kitchen section.

● Ensure the quality, taste, and packaging of dishes meet company standards.

● Collaborate with the head chef to plan and develop new products and processes for their section.

● Supervise and coordinate the production with other kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed.

● Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards at all times

● Monitor and manage inventory levels for the assigned kitchen section, minimizing waste.

● Work closely with other chefs and kitchen staff to maintain a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

● Simple butchery needed for poultry, beef and fish/seafood

● Assisting with ordering for a designated kitchen section

● Assist in reporting for wastage, staff meal and internal transfers

REQUIREMENTS:

● Proven experience as a Jr Sous Chef or similar role in a production /central kitchen.

● Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not a must

● Good knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen management.

● Teamwork is a must and good communication skills.

● Knowledge and certification of food safety and sanitation regulations.
