JOBSCOPE OVERVIEW

1. Represent QA/QC department in 2G Management Meetings or other meetings required by Directors.

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent and meticulous individual to join our fast growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of staff in managing transactional accounting functions including payables, receivables and stock accounting
• Support the manager in resolving complex accounting issues or assist other departments in resolving financial issues when the need arises
• Oversee and perform monthly intercompany or principal billings and follow up on receivables from billings
• Fixed asset management
• Manage sundry payables, 3 way matching, invoice recognition, verification and closure of invoice disputes and preparation of payment
• Prompt reconciliation of trade payables and/or inventory clearing accounts
• Month end activities and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly reports including balance sheet schedules and cost centre reports
• Review and recommend changes to improve accounting processes and procedures

Requirement:

• Degree in Accountancy with minimum 3 years’ relevant experience
• Experience in team management is a pre-requisite
• Knowledge of SAP FICO is a distinct advantage
• Good working knowledge of Excel and Word
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be part of a larger team within the IFF department in providing seamless and customer-focused solutions to support the achievement of business objectives.

Job Responsbilities:

• Answer all incoming calls promptly and politely
• Respond to customer enquiries promptly
• Basic knowledge on cargo commodity as per IATA rules and regulations
• Handle all air export shipment interface with multiple parties (internal and external customer/stakeholders) on shipment requirements
• Booking of flights with planning team
• Check on AWB/HAWB and all other necessary shipping documents and feedback to customer and overseas agent if any discrepancy/non-compliance issue
• Ensure all data are updated correctly in system
• Liaise with overseas agents on various requirements and rates
• Obtain rate approval from customer before shipment departs
• Provide flight details and feedback to customer on freight status timely
• To ensure AED compliance and job file closures within KPI
• Monitor shipment uplift and transit to ensure timely arrival/delivery to consignee, as well as updating shipment delays to shipper and destination stations whenever occurs
• Good understanding of customer’s SOP and shipment handling requirement by ensuring compliance prior to shipping, with customer satisfaction
• Monitor progress to achieve month end targets / annual objectives and KPI
• Supporting others on shipment execution when necessary
• Manage claims query, follow up with internal stake holders and vendors, and update customer
• Provide airfreight quotations upon application
• Take charge of Supplier’s invoice disputes
• Timely escalation of issues / concerns that requires broader attention and resolution
• Take on all other ad-hoc tasks delegated by Supervisor/Manager

Job Requirements:

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels with 1-2 years customer service-related experience. Experience in freight-forwarding(airfreight) is advantageous.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good written and spoken English
• Able to work over-time when required

Job description:

• Quote and secure new business (from new customers or increased share from existing customers)
• Liaise with customers on air/sea import/export shipment instructions
• Coordinate with internal CS/Ops teams and vendors to execute shipments
• Resolve problems when they crop up (rare but sometimes will happen at night / weekends)
• Build and maintain key customer relationships and gather market information

Requirements:

• Minimum education in Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of working experience in freight forwarding/logistics
• Self-motivated and possess a positive customer-oriented mind set
• Strong verbal and communication skills
• Good team player

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-6pm
