Cyber Response is one of five pillars in KPMG’s cyber security business, the others being Strategy & Governance, Transformation, Cyber Defence (Ethical Hacking) and Education (Training). The Cyber Response team primarily assists clients who have experienced a cyber security incident such as ransomware, business e-mail compromise or other kinds of network intrusion.

We investigate the root cause of the incident and the extent of the breach - what systems were affected and if data was exfiltrated. We also help clients to recover from the incident – help restore systems and expel intruders from the network as well as provide practical recommendations on how to prevent further incidents. The typical output of our work is a report which is used by client’s management or sent to regulators such as Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). Other activities include preparing clients for incidents by improving the processes, writing playbooks simulating incidents through war games and providing bespoke training.

You will work with an experienced team of forensic professionals, cyber incident coordinators, security professionals, attorneys, and corporate partners. As your experience grows, you will have opportunity to work in other pillars, but your first few years will be directed to become proficient in cyber response.

This role involves:

• Leading and managing the response to cyber-security incident response engagements.

What are we looking for:

• Self-driven, possesses strong desire to learn and identify new technologies and services and willingness to share knowledge with the team.

The Canada-ASEAN Business Council (CABC) is seeking a full-time Associate Director based in Singapore. The position provides an exciting opportunity in a pioneering organization representing Canadian commercial interests in ASEAN.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Associate Director will assist in the full membership sales cycle, source and close new event-, marketing- and research-based sponsorships, and be a key contributor to the development and implementation of CABC’s policy, events, and research programs.

Responsibilities

The Associate Director will be responsible for assisting the Executive Director in the following tasks:

Primary (80%)

● Serve as a relationship manager and liaise with CABC internal (i.e. Board, staff, and members) and external stakeholders to identify and execute on partnerships across the ASEAN region. This covers the full membership and sponsorship sales cycle, including closing new members, ensuring ongoing account success for all Member categories, and renewals

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

• In charge of general management of the Company in alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives.

• Design strategic plan and set goals for the development and growth of the Company.

• Supervise the operation of the Company’s offshore drilling rigs efficiently and effectively.

• Engage with clients/stakeholders on a regular basis to assess and respond to market demands of the rig.

• Oversee specific marketing and business development activities to expand market reach and enhance competitive positioning.

• Review and analyse market trends and report the relevant findings to Board of Directors and makes recommendations on future development of new and existing market sectors.

• Achieve or exceed targeted revenues, cash targets, profit and utilization. Oversee the budgeting process to reflect company targets.

• Evaluate and monitor performance against budgets and recommend appropriate actions for implementation.

• Ensure that robust risk management processes are in place and risks are effectively managed, particularly in respect of finance and operation areas.

• Promote business initiatives in term of human resource, technical performance, schedule, and profitability.

• Maintain effective programs in areas of Health-Safety-Environment (HSE), sustainability, ethics and security.

• Oversee recruitment and monitor staff’s performances and maintain employee commitment to the Company by promoting suitable compensation and benefit schemes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Potential candidates are required to meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in either Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration, Law.

• At least fifteen (15) years working in the oil and gas drilling industry, with experience working with National Oil Companies and Oil & Gas Regulators in Asian countries considered an advantage.

• Well-versed with regulatory requirements and industrial standards for offshore drilling operation particularly in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia.

• Thorough understanding of oil and gas drilling business, specifically for Southeast Asian markets.

• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).

• Strong analytical ability, problem-solving and decisional-making skills, complemented by excellent communication skills.

• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills and ability to contribute to Board level discussion.

• Good command of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Project,), and Maximo.

• Proficiency in English and good command in Vietnamese.
