Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.

Assign job tasks and work as per electrical project schedules.

Review all electrical drawings with Leadmen performing on assigned jobs to them.

Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work attained from assigned staff.

Recruit, guide, train, monitor and terminate assigned employees as required.

Recommend effective solutions specified particular weight related to employment status of employees.

Schedule, assign, plan and supervise electrical shop personnel performance on different electrical projects.

Plan and prepare work and equipment usage schedule

The incumbent will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Finance Manager and CFO, and overseeing the financial operations of the organization which include the preparation of a full set of accounts, liaison with external parties e.g. auditors, banks, tax agents, corporate secretaries, customers etc, preparation of monthly reports, annual budget, and other financial reports and analysis.

Financial Analysis and Reporting

• Review financial reports/management reports, AR and AP, and GST reporting.
• Prepare accurate and timely forecasts and budgets for profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and management reports.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.

Budgeting and Cost Control

• Manage and control the budgeting process and establish budgetary goals and objectives.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Conduct regular variance analysis and provide explanations for budget deviations.

Financial Operations:

• Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payments & receipts, and general ledger activities.
• Manage full sets of accounts including but not limited to monthly/yearly closing for smaller entities.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
• Liaise with external parties (e.g. banks, corporate secretary, tax agents, and external auditors).

Team Leadership and Development

• Lead and supervise the finance team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance department.
• Ad-hoc projects and other job duties which may be assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or ACCA (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in a similar role and with supervisory experience.
• Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Candidates with MYOB experience will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Operations and Controls, you will be responsible for the following key processes within the Group Operations and Controls team:

• Billing & Receivables – support the business units in the accurate and timely billing of sales invoices, recovery of the outstanding customers debts to maintain a healthy days sales outstanding, and timely completion of daily bank reconciliations. You will also be responsible for supporting the AR supervisor in other AR related process including but not limited to preparation of AR dashboards / commentaries to provide insights and analysis of AR trends.
• Treasury Operations – support Corporate Treasury in the trade confirmation and settlement of corporate investments, and funds transfer to meet the funding needs of various functions within SGX. You will also support banking administration matters in relation to Finance and Market Operations bank accounts.
• Financial Statement Account Ownership process – administer the Financial Statement Account Ownership process, and to work with various Account owner teams to investigate and remediate discrepancies in the balance sheet numbers
• Control Self-Assessment – participate in the self-validation of key controls in the billings and receivables process to support management’s control self-assessment sign-off

You will review the business systems, processes and controls and make recommendations for improvement. You will also be involved in automation initiatives and streamlining projects.

Our client is a Global Manufacturing MNC, one of the leading players in the Oil & Gas servicing sector. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Welding Supervisor to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the West.

Job Responsibilities:

• Estimate the overlay and weld cost and support during tender stage.
• Lead and supervise a team of welders, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project specifications, and industry standards.
• Oversee all welding operations/procedures are comply with industry standards and project specifications.
• Implement and enforce quality control measures for welding activities, including visual inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Involved with various projects utilizing various techniques (e.g, SMAW, GMAW, Autogenous orbital, etc) tube to tube welding
• Work closely with other members of the engineering team and project team regarding project welding qualifications and welding issues
• Quality management system and auditing – API and ISO qualification.
• Implement NDE methods and technique as per project requirements for specific part design.
• Conduct meeting, drive continuous improvement initiatives within the welding operations, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Generate reports on welding progress, quality assurance, and any deviations from standard procedures.
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min Degree in Engineering or other relevant equivalent field of study.
• Min 5 years relevant experience in welding process.
• Good understanding of API and ISO standards would be advantageous.
