Financial Crime Analyst

Team Summary

Visa is looking for a Financial Crime Analyst based in Singapore to be part of Currencycloud’s Asia Pacific (APAC) New Business Onboarding team. Currencycloud is part of Visa Group entities and covers Visa’s regulated payment business within Money Movement Solutions (MMS) in APAC. Currencycloud is also consolidated under Visa Direct which streamlines all of Visa’s cross border payments under one unified branding. The Currencycloud APAC New Business Onboarding team is an essential partner to the MMS business. The team provides solutions-oriented advice to ensure timely client onboarding, address stakeholder queries promptly, complete tasks within Service Level Agreements (SLA), and perform all duties to a high standard.

What a Financial Crime Analyst does at Visa:

This role, based in Singapore, supports the Currencycloud APAC New Business Onboarding Manager with new client onboarding. It reports to the APAC New Business Onboarding Manager and is part of Visa’s expansion in the region.

The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:

• Responsible for new business onboarding applications for Financial Institutions, Payment Institutions and Corporates in a myriad of industries and jurisdictions

• Carrying out know-your-customer (KYC) and Know-your-business (KYB) checks.

• Reviewing client’s regulatory cover

• Performing Risk Assessment on new clients

• Assessing the effectiveness of each client’s AML framework

• Leading AML calls with clients including visual walkthroughs of their processes and systems

• Responsible for undertaking enhanced due diligence on customers that pose greater risks, including investigating the legitimacy of the funds used in the business relationship

• Proactively escalating cases to senior members of the team

• Complete Compliance administration (such as keeping client records up to date).

What you will need:

To apply for this role, we are looking for someone who has bachelor’s degree or higher education qualification and at least 3 years of working experience within AML/CFT compliance functions in the financial / payments industry. Professional AML accreditation preferred.

• Understanding of Singapore’s Payment Services Act and all relevant subsidiary legislation, especially PSN01 on Prevention of Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism – Specified Payment Services. Media Buying (Offline and/or Online)

• The day-to-day media buying for the agency
• Deliver excellent master contract pricing through negotiation and relationships with media owners, wherever applicable

• Drive inventory levels to achieve on time delivery of advance replacements against 2 hour, 4 hour, and Next Business Day SLAs
• Define minimum stocking levels to hold in each depot based on install base, RMA rates, and lead time to replenish inventory
• Optimize inventory levels such that on time delivery goals are achieved while minimizing inventory investment
• Publish service demand to Repair Operations and prioritize repair output to fill minimum stocking levels in service depots
• Drive new orders with Manufacturing for inventory that cannot be sourced from Repair.
• Execute inventory movement and inventory transfers across service depots, rebalancing inventory as required
• Oversee inventory metrics for Service Depots – including hit rate, fill rate, and repair-to-new-buy ratio
• Develop and manage service inventory plans for new products as they are released by Arista’s R&D teams
• Review disposition of Engineering Change Orders as submitted by Engineering, driving required actions on Service Depot inventory, and ensuring inventory freshness

The Financial Planning Analyst enables senior management and production teams to make data-driven choices and critical decisions through financial insights and analysis. Global Controllership is responsible for establishing Visa’s global accounting policies, providing technical accounting guidance to the business, processing accounting transactions globally and consolidating all Visa entities financial results. The team is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the Visa Inc. financial statements under U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and local statutory financial statements under IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)

What a Sr Financial Analyst does at Visa:

• Manage the overall integration of the Visa entities in AP region
• Perform the accounting close process and ensure high quality accounting accuracy, timely and meaningful reporting, and compliance to US GAAP, SEC and SOX requirements.
• Lead the local statutory accounts preparation, audit to filing process, ensuring compliance, timeliness, efficiency and reconciliation with US GAAP numbers.
