Our company, a Multi-National Aesthetic Brand is looking for a field service engineer as we are expanding further. In this role, you would be working on-site at customer locations to troubleshoot, maintain and repair Lasers and Medical equipment. After some on-the-job training, you would get to put your technical, mechanical and electrical skills to use every day in new and challenging situations while you interact with a wide variety of people, machines and settings.

Job Responsibilities

• System commissioning and installation.
• Adhoc servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Provide excellent customer service, listening carefully to customer concerns and addressing issues until customer is satisfied.
• Update and maintain assigned machines per manufacturer specifications.
• Attend ongoing training events sponsored by company or machine manufacturers to stay up-to-date on the latest technology and repair options.
• Must be willing to travel.

Skills & Qualifications required

• Diploma in Electronics, Mechatronics or related and higher preferred;
• Experience with lasers will be an advantage;
• Ability to work productively with minimal supervision;
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• To support Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) aftersales operation
• Manage daily operation activities in workshop & customer services
• Ensure accountability and integrity operational readiness of workshop
• Develop all necessary policies and procedures to ensure the workshop is effectively maintained to ensure maximum efficiency
• Ensure staff are appropriately trained and motivated to carry out their responsibility to the required standards
• Deal openly and promptly with any problems and effectively identify and manage risk as appropriate
• Constantly review and streamline workflow and working conditions in order to achieve labour turnover and efficient operation
• To ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the safety and housekeeping requirements set by the company
• Provide the point of escalation for team for any operational issues
• Act as a bridge between sales, operations & customers
• Write technical report and submit to customer/manufacturer
• Preparation of reports on performance, budget and expenditure
• Plan and achieve financial budget and key performance indicators
• Ad hoc duties as assigned by Supervisors

Requirements

• Academic qualification: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (EEE) & equivalent.
• Prior working experience in managing daily workshop for at least 2 years is preferred.
• Possess strong analytical & technical knowledge (understanding in Material Handling Equipment (e.g. forklifts) repair).
• valid Class 3 Driving License.

Job Description & Requirements

Successful candidate will assist Parts & Service Sales Manager on the following tasks:

• Conduct Field Engineering during the piloting, construction, commissioning and operation/maintenance/after sale phases
• Provide technical and hands-on support for the implementation of pilot studies and commercial operations
• Manage site operators in implementing good practices for plant operations and maintenance and daily operational activities through preparation and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical training
• Support the development, establishment, and maintenance of plant performance monitoring, reporting and improvement.
• Proactively report and investigate plant performance/reliability issues and propose practical and cost-effective solutions.
• Coordinate and oversee the relevant technical support to the operating sites, as to reduce unplanned downtime through failure analysis and corrective actions implementation.
• Support the preparation of the predictive and preventive maintenance programs at operating sites and closely monitor their performance.
• Participate in technical meetings
• Promote and support after sales services, including spare parts, consumables, ad hoc operational and site technical support. Work closely with Engineering and Procurement departments to correctly specify and source materials and services.
• Positively promote a safe and healthy work environment and employ safe work practices at all times, including documenting incidents and recommending and following through on corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain efficient communication and information sharing between the Operations Department and Engineering/NPI Departments including writing and issuing technical reports and Return of Experience/Lessons Learned reports.
• Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by your superior.

Skills and Experience:

• Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Chemical, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably with 3-5 years of related experience in commissioning and /or in Operations and Maintenance in the industrial water treatment systems.
• Must be a hands-on person
• Familiar with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and Controls of process plants
• Commissioning activities like SAT/FAT, instruments, valves and controls loop check.
• A team player that is willing to work with different age groups and nationalities.
• Applicants must be willing to travel as and when required.

Job Resposibilities:

• Field Support: To carry out Corrective Maintenance (CM) as a result of failure of the hardware and software related to a mission critical system. To restore the system to its operational condition. To monitor and maintain the records of the overall system operational availability and reliability, including Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), system downtime duration and the types of hardware defects as well as all related software versions, patches.
• Field Testing: To carryout software testing on the system whenever there is a new software bug fixes. To ensure the correct configuration of the system is loaded for software / system testing and before the system is used for production.
• Spares Services: To manage the spares provisioning, support and test equipment and other tools that are stored at Authority site. To undertake store keeping functions in respect of receipt, issue and disposal. To carry out serviceability check on the spares and to ensure prompt and appropriate action is taken to rectify any fault on the spares. To monitor the end-of-life and end-of-support status of the spares and installed hardware.
• Preventive Maintenance (PM): To carry out PM on the hardware to retain the system in the specified operational condition in accordance to the planned maintenance schedule. In carrying out the PM, to follow the approved PM checklists to perform calibration, servicing and verification of system configurations. To submit the PM report after each PM.
• Calibration Services: To liaise with vendor to perform calibration services on the test equipment that are used for the preventive maintenance.

• 2 shifts of 12 hours, 24x7 operation
