Description:
- Establish and maintain effective liaison and high level of communication with all business leaders and officers of governmental organisations of countries in Asia Pacific region.
- Planning research projects with in-house and/or external researchers and conduct research and analysis on economic, financial and industrial policies of Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Brunei. Research and analysis on regional topics in Asia Pacific are also expected.
- Responsible for reporting to and closely communicating with HQ in Japan of the latest situations and policy analysis of Asia Pacific region.
- Responsible for administrative matters in the office including budget, compliance as well as looking over membership / research contracts with think-tanks and consultants in the region.
- Business trips to Malaysia, Taiwan, Brunei and other countries in Asia Pacific.
- Support industrial analysis and policy analysis conducted by HQ in Tokyo as regional headquarter in Asia Pacific region.
Requirements:
- More than 3 years of relevant experience in the field of finance to infrastructure/ energy/ manufacturing projects.
- Capable of handling hands-on arrangements by himself/herself and to handle multiple tasks.
- Experience in the financial sector / government sector is preferable.
- Frequent overseas travelling is expected.
- Good understanding in applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the common code of conduct regarding information security of financial and Japanese government-related sectors.
- Japanese language skill of at least JPLT N1 Level would be required as it is essential to read and fully understand internal documents and for regular presentation and reporting directly to HQ in Japan.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PPT as well as economic databases such as Bloomberg and CEIC is preferable.
