Day to Day operations
• To comply with the Search and Transplant Services policy and procedures to ensure all professional services to meet the accreditation standards of the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA)
• To act as the main point of contact for allocated transplant centres within Singapore/Malaysia
• To process incoming search requests for compatible donors/cord blood units and ensure they are reported to partner hospitals and registries according to agreed timelines.
• To provide approved donor recommendations for local/Malaysia patients requested for search.
• To ensure accurate and timely operational data collection.
• To process Verification Typing (VT) requests and coordinate with Transplant Centres, and international registries
• To process Work Up (WU) requests and coordinate with Transplant centres and international registries
• To arrange and coordinate with Professional courier services for HPC products transportation from local and international collection centres to transplant centres according to agreed timelines.
• To adhere to WMDA requirements of being 24/7 contactable, via email and/or the emergency contact number.
• To educate Singaporean/SPR patients and transplant center partners on patient subsidy schemes
• To process the patient subsidy applications in accordance with the policies and procedures in place.
• To function as a patient advocacy unit for Singaporean/SPR patients and their families.
• To build and maintain strong working relationships through best practices and regular communications with local and international transplant centres and overseas partner registries.
• To ensure excellence in search, selection and procurement processes to support the requests of the transplant team.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree holder in Biology, Bioscience, Nursing, Biomedical or equivalent
- For Diploma holders, minimum 2 years’ experience
- For Degree holders, fresh graduates may apply
- Good knowledge and strong understanding of medical terminology and immunology.
- Knowledge and experience in human leukocyte antigen (HLA) typing is beneficial
- IT and data savvy, adaptable to softwares and systems
- Understands and ensures compliance with data protection policies and procedures.
- Familiar with the hospital eco-system
- Experience in financial counselling and subsidies is beneficial
