• He/She will be part of the Research and Development Department to help provide research administrative/secretariat support for the research work. The role requires working closely with the Head of R&D, vendors and be the point of contact for office liaison.
• The Executive will be an integral member of the research administration team who will handle key responsibilities such as:
• Research procurement, processing of vendor invoices and payments
• Liaise with internal/external research stakeholders and vendors
• Provide support in any other daily operational matters/ad hoc projects
• Provide secretariat support – taking accurate meetings for meetings when required
• Be the point of contact for administrative related liaison, including overseas HQ

Requirements :

• At least a diploma in Chemical Engineering with minimum 5 years, or a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in research administration/project management
• Competent in IT skills (e.g. MS Office, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Flexible, adaptable and well-versed with the evolving research landscape in Singapore
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; meticulous - attention to details and accuracy of work and self-directed learner
• Excellent organizational skills and able to work within given deadlines; able to multi-task

Key Responsibilities:

• Synthesize low valent main group compounds featuring an unique electronic structure, and investigate the reactivity. The catalytic activity of those compounds will also be investigated.
• Develop fundamental chemistry of p-block elements-based compounds, in particular boron-containing molecules
• Use experimental and analytical skills ranging from basic schlenk technique to computational method with Gaussian program.
• Involve in the laboratory management as well as university’s duties & tasks.

Job Requirements:

• PhD in Chemistry
• Extensive knowledge about fundamental and advanced main group chemistry.
