Attributes/Skills Required

• Excellent academic and professional qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with proven experience in shipping and commodity disputes and ideally with exposure to and an interest in the marine and international trade sector

• Ideally 3 to 8 years PQE (or equivalent relevant experience).

• English law qualification is preferred. Singapore law or other common law qualifications are acceptable.

• Ability to acquire, consolidate and apply fundamental and up-to-date knowledge of the law

• Excellent diligence, accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based financial, operational, value-for-money, and other audit and advisory projects.
• Oversee all phases of the audit process, including risk assessment, audit planning, audit execution, and the use of audit software for data analysis and documentation of work papers.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and effectively communicate findings to Management and the Audit Committee/Board for informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommended improvements and ensure that audit recommendations are followed through.
• Continuously monitor and report on the progress of audit-related projects and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders.
