Operations Executive is primarily responsible in performing defined flight watch duties; ensuring relevant information is transmitted to crew via suitable means and follow up in absence of acknowledgement from crew; coordinate with dispatch service provider and act as medium between flight dispatch and the pilot for operational support and flight following.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate with dispatch service provider and act as medium between flight dispatch and the pilot for operational support.
2. Perform defined flight watch duties,
3. Ensure operational information as defined in ORM is transmitted to crew via suitable means and follow-up on crew's acknowledgement,
4. Ensure that Flight Plan package consisting of all sectors for the crew, including weather and NOTAMs and a picture form of the most recent weather conditions/ volcanic activity charts (as published at regular intervals) are ready for the crew at sign-on.
5. Coordinate between pilot and dispatch service provider where applicable.
6. Strong knowledge on dispatch functions and responsibilities,
7. Ensure flights are crewed efficiently and within legality parameters,
8. Liaise and follow up agencies (eg JMC, GHA, airport AIS, etc) to ensure that flight operation are in check and flight departures are not affected,
9. Communicate with foreign government agencies airport slots (for adhoc or scheduled services).
10. Managing of flight satchels to ensure that information are available for operating crews upon reporting.
Requirements:
1. Diploma in aviation discipline,
2. Accredited Flight Dispatch Training qualification,
3. Have previous flight dispatch / flight planning experience,
4. Commitment to Safety,
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
