This role resides in the Group Sustainability division. You will be involved in several workstreams, but the main role is to support environmental and social risk assessments for projects, including the sustainable finance and human rights work streams. The Senior Quantity Surveyor is responsible for all cost and contractual issues on Main contract as well as Sub-contracts connected to the project.

A summary of the responsibilities for this position is, and not limited to, as follows:

• Preparation of Monthly Progress claims, variation orders and payments to subcontractors
• Involve in managing and reporting of project budget & cost control
• Responsible in Post-Contracts administration for both the Main Contract and Subcontracts
• Monitor all financial aspects of the projects to ensure projects run according to budget
• Liaise and establish rapport with consultants, quantity surveyors, architects, developers and contractors on certification of claims for payment
• Be familiar with various stages of projects so as to source for the most viable yet reasonable priced materials
• Able to share new perspectives on cost, orders and claims
• With the understanding of the contractual legal rights, he/ she will be involved in advising the management on their position of the contract from the tender stage

Value Add of Position

• Maintain the project’s bottom line by projecting the right cost for tenders and timely claims for the project
• Establish a good relationship with Client, Consultants and subcontractors to ensure that the project is smoothly managed in terms of resources and timeline

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 6 years working experience in tendering, estimating and measurement of quantities on projects worth at least $100 million
• Candidates with knowledge in Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Conditions of Contract, REDAS, FIDIC, FIDIC Short Form of Contracts will be an added advantage

Technical Competencies

• Robust knowledge of materials and works for site usage
• Good knowledge on local pricings
• Knowledge in in Singapore Institute of Architects (SIA) Conditions of Contract, FIDIC, FIDIC Short Form of Contracts

Responsibilities/Job Scope:

• Pre-silicon verification and post-silicon system validation

• Test case and test automation scripts development and test plan execution

• Debug system (hardware, software and firmware), provide expert support to internal as well as external customer

• Silicon characterization and failure analysis

• Booting and other source code development

• Interoperability Testing (IOP), debugging and propose solutions

• Requires interfaces with Architecture, Design, and Pre-silicon Validation teams in improving post-silicon test content and providing feedback for future on-die debug features

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and above of computer science or electronic and electric engineering or embedded system

• Minimum three years’ experience of hardware, firmware development and system verification in consumer/electronics products

• Familiar with system board design/debugging and usage of lab equipment like Oscilloscope and Logic analyzer

• Experience of silicon verification and test plan execution

• Understand Ethernet GPHY, Ethernet Switch/PCI/USB/PCI-E/ /SGMII/SPI bus protocol

• Experience of C/C++ and Python Programming language

• Knowledge of physical layer components such ADC, DAC, AGC, DSP, filtering, line driver, differential signals

• System Debug tools JTAG, EJTAG. Knowledge of Spirent Test center and scripting

• Team player, very proactive and self-motivated

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for canvassing cargoes for Export trade lanes to achieve target lifting. Besides maintaining current clientele base and increasing MSC market presence, responsibilities include all nominations, forecasting and allocations, as well as responsiveness to all quotations, trouble shooting and handling of enquiries from customers.

Key responsibilities include the following:

• Develop new clienteles / cargo bookings through referrals, newspaper, magazines, MSCs network and telemarketing;
• Achieve close level of support with client through daily contact, regular visit and entertainment i.e lunch, dinner, etc, to secure business;
• Track destination ports controlled shipments, to obtain full details from shipper (i.e full style address, commodity, rates if any) and send as sales leads to respective Port of Discharge to secure business;
• Ensure customers know the whereabouts of shipment through MSC Internet shipment tracking and tracing system;
• Attend to customers complaint and co-ordinate with internal departments (Documentation, Operation, Finance and Cargo Flow Management) to resolve any issues and uphold our service commitment to customers.
