Operations Executive

Responsibilities:

• Deal with clients and ship-owners relating to post-fixtures, ensure proper follow-up and update on daily operations .
• Handle dry cargo loading and discharging operational & document procedures.
• Resolve disputes, negotiate costs and handle claims between clients and ship-owners
• Have knowledge/experience of shipboard operation, cargo loading and disputes
• Have knowledge of different Charter party, laytime and some trading / legal terms.
• Report to the Head of Operations on all operational activities
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Min Diploma holder with 1-2 years of related working experience in marine industry (Dry cargo / Ship-owner).
• Candidates with more than 3-4 years’ experience in Dry cargo operations, will be considered for a senior position
• Able to work independently, responsible and manage multiple priorities
• Hardworking and able to work under pressure
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills

Responsibilities:

• Ensure timely chartering of suitable vessel and monitor vessel’s position, movement and cargo loading / discharging processes
• Identify new business opportunities, build and maintain excellent relationships with ship-owners / brokers / principals / clients
• Develop, negotiate and ensure timeliness, accuracy and completeness of all finalized terms and charter party with owners

Requirements:

Job Description

· Design, build and maintain webservices to deliver high availability and performance

· Design, build and maintain complex business rules engine in a production environment

Requirements

· At least 5 years of experience in the software development industry

· Advance proficiency in Java/J2EE and Python as well as Java libraries and frameworks such as Spring Boot

· Advance knowledge of database management and scaling: MariaDB, MongoDB. Experience working with cloud databases (e.g. RDS, BigTable) and GraphDB is an added advantage.

· Experience in building and optimising large scale systems including search and recommendation engines (ElasticSearch, Solr, Redis etc)
