Role Purpose

· To develop Swire Bulk’s presence in the Pacific bulk parcel trades.

· Execute combinations of spot and COA cargoes in order to develop trade flows for both unitised and dry bulk parcels.

Role Accountabilities

Cargo

· Grow the cargo book, identify and develop new opportunities and customers that complement the existing Swire Bulk trade lanes in the Pacific. Build stronger relationship with current key accounts to generate cargo and COA opportunities. Responsibilities include evaluation of spot and contractual opportunities and management of execution.

Partner of Choice

· Develop and manage the growth of all customer relationships and network in the Pacific Parcelling trade lanes, aligning the regional office proposition to the Swire Bulk Parcelling model identifying key trades and cargo flows which match / complement the existing business/operating profile. Growing the Swire Bulk footprint. Responsibility for strategic relationships – know your Customer, know your Competition, know your Market

Operational Excellence / Execution

· Work closely with Operations, Port Captaincy and Contractors to ensure the planning and execution of shipments is carried out seamlessly to ensure integrity of cargo is maintained and customers are satisfied with Swire Bulk’s Service Delivery.

· Support on flag / class approval for wind & project cargoes on Drybulk tonnage

· Material management together with engineering team

· Communicate with the regional and head office teams in the daily and weekly reports, identifying threats, opportunities on spot and COA cargoes within the Parcel Desks trading lanes both Pacific and Atlantic.

Under the general direction of the Director of Rooms, and within the limited of established IHG and local hotel policies and procedures, provides supportive functional assistance to all departments; interact with guests and members of the community. They will also coordinate with all other departments within the hotel.

This job is the Managerial Role at a full-service hotel or at a regional extended-stay hotel. Report to Director of Rooms. Typically supervises operations under Front Office, Guest Relations, Uniform Services, Instant Service, Club InterContinental Lounge and Butlers.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

• Assists in coordinating the preparation of the departmental annual budget.
• Identifying, monitoring and controlling departmental costs on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget and monthly forecast.
• Monitor budget and control labor costs and expenses with a focus on rate strategy, building initiatives and inventory management.
• Make sure all CSA policies are in compliance and preparing a monthly report for the DOR.
• Assists in planning for future staffing needs and recruiting in line with company guidelines.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Diploma or equivalent in Hotel Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience or similar capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
• Related experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
