• Responsible for directing and monitoring the daily activities of the lab operations
• Consistently maintain the safety and quality standards in the laboratory and manage initiatives
• Provides direction within the lab to ensure that production goals and customer expectations are consistently met
• Provide technical and engineering leadership within the lab
• Support the development of new technologies
• Proactively advise coworkers and customers requiring critical analysis of data
• Provides input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
• Occasionally make presentations on conventional and/or routine testing to a wide range of stakeholders
• Assist in the development of new testing methods and procedures to enhance laboratory capabilities and service offerings.
• Review testing services and promote additional capacity and process improvement
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the department.

job requirement

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Materials Science
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
• Working knowledge of laboratory safety with extensive knowledge of the current suite of testing capabilities
• Must be very familiar with ISO17025 (candidates with Signatories of ISO17025 highly desirable)
• Candidates with experience with testing cementation/painting/tiling/coating will be highly desirable for the construction chemical department
• Understanding of continuous improvement disciplines such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, etc. preferred

• Ability to lead, manage, oversee cyber multiple engagements across multi security testing disciplines independently and cohesively with the engagement team
• Able to demonstrate strong project management skills in areas such as meeting requirements, timelines, documentations, overseeing risk management aspects in a project lifecycle
• Possesses strong understanding of IT risks and its business context/impact
• Possesses excellent written and communication skills to translate and communicate with C-Suite clients, direct reports and team members
• Self-driven, possesses strong desire to learn and identify new technologies and services, and willingness to share knowledge with the team
