A&M Tax Team
The A&M Tax team is an independent group of experienced tax professionals dedicated to providing customized tax advice to clients and investors across a broad range of industries. Its professionals extend A&M’s commitment to offering clients a choice in advisors who are free from audit-based conflicts of interest and bring an unyielding commitment to delivering responsive client service. A&M Tax has offices in major metropolitan markets throughout Asia, Australia, EMEA, and the U.S.
The Southeast Asia Tax team is now looking for a Senior Manager, M&A Tax to join our fast-growing team in Singapore.
Responsibilities
· Manage M&A tax work in the private equity industry
· Manage tax due diligence projects, identify key tax risks and potential deal breakers, and assist with tax structuring for the potential transaction in the context of their clients’ investment strategy.
· Analyze detailed tax computation and other tax documents, financial statements. Synthesize and convert the data into meaningful information that is used to drive discussions with target management and drive observations and conclusions.
o Assess the quality of the target's tax management function and compliance.
· Review tax due diligence and tax structuring reports and presentations for clients that highlight the key tax findings and supporting analysis.
· Manage various tax advisory assignments, including but not limited to, fund structuring advice, legal entity and operational restructuring, tax incentive assessment and application, etc.
· Lead meetings and conference calls with target management and with client personnel
Requirements:
· Degree or Postgraduate degree in Accountancy and/or related major
· Minimum 9 years of related experience
· At least 3 years of solid M&A tax / international tax / corporate tax advisory experience
· Ability to lead tax due diligence and tax structuring projects
· Ability to travel within the region (where practical and possible)
· Fluent in English; additional language proficiency such as Mandarin / Bahasa will be an advantage.
· Strong technical knowledge of Singapore corporate income tax laws. Familiarity and practice experience in a Big Four accounting firm and / or other key ASEAN countries’ taxation will be an advantage.
