The Animal Rescue Officer (ARO) is responsible for ensuring timely and efficient rescue operations for injured, lost, abandoned animals. This includes retrieving animals, assessing rescued animals, and safe transportation of them back to the shelter or veterinary clinics for housing and medical attention.

As SPCA’s rescue operations are 24-hours the ARO is expected to work in a shift system including public holidays and weekends (with off days and leave entitlements provided). Your primary role as a technical leader in the product and / or delivery team are: -

Requirements :

1. Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

2. Minimum 10 years in the IT industry, of which 4 years must be in a lead position.

3. Must have strong experiences in technologies: OOAD, Design Patterns, UML, XML, XSD, J2EE, EJB, JSP, Servlets, Spring, Hibernate, Web Services, REST services, Oracle database and Stored Procedures

4. Must possess highest level of communication skill as the candidate is supposed to communicate with internal / external management.

5. Experience in banking projects will be added advantage

6. Require traveling and working in regional countries

Job Description

The department of Philosophy at the National University of Singapore invites applicants for a ten month Visiting Research Associate Professorship starting in early 2024. The position is affiliated with a project on decision-dependence in normative philosophy, aiming to develop a general framework for making decisions when the evaluation of options depends on or is affected by which option is chosen. Applicants should have at least one area of specialization, and ideally more than one, in a normative field, including ethics, rationality, epistemology, and/or decision theory. The Visiting Research Associate Professorship is a purely research position; no teaching duties are required.
