We are seeking an individual with civil/structural/architectural technical experience for the position of Project Engineer at Fortis Construction Pte. Ltd.  The candidate will work directly with the Project Manager and the subcontractors throughout the design and construction phase of the largest multistory data centre in Asia (The Project).

The candidate will be accountable for ensuring the work required, such as submittals, RFI’s, coordination drawings, updating documents, etc, are complete, ready and approved for the CSA subcontractors to perform their scope of work in the strictest of compliance to the contract documents.  This role is focused on managing the CSA subcontractors' field operations and installation details for a large complex data center project, having stringent technical requirements.  

It is expected that the candidate will be a very detail-oriented individual with previous experience working as a CSA project engineer on data centre projects and/or other complex technical projects.  There will be a significant amount of “hands-on” work coordinating approved design documents and ensuring installed work in the field complies with such documents.  The candidate must have robust Emotional Quotient (EQ) skills and be able to relate to and communicate with the client, the Fortis Construction Pte. This group is responsible for the development and characterization of manufacturing processes used for the production of novel therapeutic recombinant proteins for Lonza’s global client base. The purpose of this role is to support our scientists in process development and characterization activities at laboratory scale. 

Duties and Responsibilities include: 

• To work to the highest scientific standards to support our scientists and projects

• To perform hands-on laboratory work in the mammalian cell culture process development team contributing to the development of processes. For example,

• Perform routine cell culture activities in multi-well plates, deep-well plate and shake flasks.

• Assist in cell line generation activities including transfection and cloning (using Beacon® Optofluidic System)

• Assist in the operation of automated miniature bioreactor systems (Ambr15 or Ambr250), rocking bioreactors and 10L laboratory scale bioreactors. Perform daily culture performance monitoring and analysis using pH meter, osmometer, Nova Flex 2, Vi-Cell

• Prepare media and buffers.

• Capture process data, review and report these data to internal teams.

• Perform activities in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and study protocols.

• Support daily operation and running of the laboratory, e.g. maintaining of equipment and management of inventory.

• Perform regular housekeeping and help with maintaining 6S standards in the workplace.

• Actively identify and deliver operational efficiency projects to improve efficient running of the department. 

• Contribute to departmental safety and training programs.

• The role may require occasional weekend work. 

Education and Experience:

• Diploma/Bachelor in a relevant Science field or Equivalent. 

• The final role offered will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience. 

• Understand basic theories for mammalian cell culture and bioprocessing. Ability to apply these theories during laboratory operations. Practical laboratory experience in automated bioreactor system operation is highly advantageous. 

• Understanding of cGMP regulations will be advantageous. 

• Good communication skills (verbal and written). 

• Ability to work well in teams. 

• Demonstrates ability to motivate through enthusiasm.

The successful applicant for this position will be joining Cell Culture Development team in Lonza Singapore. 1. Maintaining a good relationship with supermarket outlets and expanding the sales with them
2. Manage a team of promoters and schedule/placement of promoters at selected outlets
3. Work closely with operational staff, outlets, merchandisers, promoters and delivery team to ensure sufficient stock in supermarket outlets, avoiding out of stock situation and ensuring FIFO arrangement on shelves
4. Lead, motivate and guide promoters
5. Compilation of data and developing planograms for execution by respective channel
6. Forecast and ensuring adequate stocks on promotional items
7. Analysing, anticipating sales performance and meeting sales target
8. Continuously learning about the company products and on how to effectively position them to outlets and prospects
9. Listening to any comments from the outlets and promoters make sure to respond quickly and efficiently
