Job scope:

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project billing, payments receivables and administration. A strong grasp of the XERO Accounting system is essential.

• Oversee project billing processes and ensure accurate invoicing
• Handle accounts payable functions, including timely payment processing
• Updating of accounts receivables and maintaining up to date status.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary project information
• Utilize the XERO Accounting system proficiently for effective financial management
• Assist in financial reporting and analysis as needed
• Stay updated on industry trends and accounting best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Proven experience as an Accounts Executive or similar role
• Strong understanding of project billing and accounts payable processes
• Proficiency in using the XERO Accounting system is a must

Accounts Executive - Freight Forwarding

This position will support the company’s accounting services to provide proper recording and processing of financial transactions. Work closely with clients to ensure proper expense recording, processing and timely clearing of aged accounts. Provide continual effort in identifying areas of improvements to refine financial processes to enhance end to end functionalities by ways of automation. Timely and accurate preparation of financial closing. This person will report directly to the Accounts Manager.

Key accountability include the following but not limited to:

● Tracking and reporting freight status through the cargo wise systems

● Issuing and recording of tax invoices

● Ensure timely, accurate month-end and financial reporting

● Reconcile accounts payable and receivable and perform credit control

● Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

● Compute taxes and prepare annual tax returns and GST filing

● Identify areas for improvement and implement improvements to processes

Requirements:

● At least 1 – 2 years relevant working experience in freight forwarding industry

● Minimum 1 year of working experience as accounts executive

● Experience in using cargo wise system

● Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and/or Xero Accounting

● Demonstrate intermediate skills and knowledge of Excel, as well as other Microsoft Office applications

● Excellent written and verbal communication skills

● Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills

● Time management and organizational skills

● Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across the organization

● Ability to work independently

● Minimum Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

Responsibility:

• Responsible to AR and AP functions
• Handle cash book and bank reconciliation
• Handle monthly cost of goods sold inventory report
• Ensure payments received timely
• Reconcile any irregularities in receipts
• Handle all cash receiving from outlets
• Prepare/enter/upload journals for month end closing
• Prepare monthly schedule
• Monitor and follow-up with tenant on overdue account and arrange for collection
• Prepare and generate invoices to tenant
• Prepare and send Statement of Accounts to tenant
• Responsible of tenant contact agreements
• Requires monthly banks' and customer' accounts reconciliation.
• Preparation of year end accounting audit schedules & reports for company auditors
• Generate monthly Profit & Loss/ tenant invoice report/ Tenant aging
• Hands-on knowledge in Singapore Goods & Services Tax accounting
• Hands-on knowledge in using Microsoft Excel & Words
• Knowledge of full set accounts in F&B Industries is advantage
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirement

• O’Level & Diploma in Accounting or equivalent
• Experience in an Accounting function with 3 years of working experience
• Bilingual in both English and Mandarin in order to liaise with the associates/clients
• Willing to learn and adapt faster
• Strong team player with a positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Able to work independently
• Able to start work immediately
• 5 working days
