Role & Responsibilities:

• Perform the full spectrum of accounting functions and manage full set of books (including payment vouchers, bank reconciliations, invoices, prepare/review journal vouchers etc.)
• Daily Accounts Payable functions such as Cheque payments, Giro, bank transfers.
• Handle staff claims and monthly petty cash reimbursement.
• Process of Supplier and Subcontractor Invoices.
• Manage outstanding balances to ensure prompt payments.
• Data entries for all Journal voucher, Payment voucher and Receipt.
• Handle Quarterly GST submission.
• Prepare monthly Creditor Ageing Report for review.
• Handle queries from suppliers & sub-contractors on outstanding Invoices and payments.
• Perform administrative duties related to accounting such as documentation, filing, updating records and generation of internal reports.
• Prepare documents required for annual tax return and estimated chargeable income (ECI) submission and to liasie with external auditors.
• Prepare draft financial statements for companies which are subjected to statutory audit and for exempt companies.
• Able to support ad-hoc assignment.
• Payroll function
• Coordinate and administer training & development programs including submitting of claims/training grants to various government agencies.

Requirements:

• ACCA or Diploma in Accounting/ Finance – At least 3 years of experience in full set of accounts.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Accounting in Construction Industry.
• Must be able to meet tight deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Able to work independently and a good team player.
• Meticulous, pays attention to details and sharp.
• Proficient in MS Office application, good knowledge of QuickBooks & ERP system will be added advantage.
• Able to liaise with Chinese speaking suppliers/subcontractors.
