Job Description

· Responsible for full spectrum of Account Receivable (External and Inter-companies) including perform monthly closing.

· Liaise with Customers, External auditors, Internal departments including Sales, Customer Service and Project.

· Ensure timely mailing of SOA

· Responsible for the administration, review and management of credit policies

· Evaluate credit worthiness of customers

· Develop and implement effective collections strategies

· Reporting on collections statistics

· Prepare and analysis of Cash forecast

· Ensure compliance with Company Internal Controls, Policies, Processes and Procedures

· Has initiative to take up challenges and resolve issues.

· Review and ensure timely submission of internal and external report as per stipulated timeline

· Ensure that transactions are accurate and posted in timely manner.

· Work on special projects/system enhancement and any other adhoc duties as and when instructed by reporting supervisor/Manager.

Job Requirement

· Diploma/Degree/ACCA holders with minimum 5-7 years of AR experience

· Hands on Oracle NetSuite accounting experience is advantageous.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, CHARTS)

The Accounts Specialist manages and oversees various finance functions within the organisation, including handling the full scope of accounts payable. This role involves ensuring timely and accurate processing of financial transactions, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial reporting and compliance. Proficiency in both English and Chinese is required for effective communication and documentation.

The main responsibilities and tasks of this position are listed as, but not limited to the following:

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and cash management
• Review, verify, and process approximately 300 monthly invoices, ensuring timely and accurate entry into the financial system.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to invoice processing.
• Prepare and process staff claims and vendor payments, ensuring compliance with agreed payment terms and company policies.
• Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger regularly to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare accounts payable ageing and cash flow forecasts.
• Generate and review bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts of cash flow when required.
• Liaise with other departments or subsidiaries to address and resolve financial issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Candidates with AR experience are essential but not a must.
• ITE/Diploma in Business/Finance/Accounting preferred.
• Proficiency in Chinese/Mandarin is required for effective communication with China Headquarters.
• Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with the Singapore Office.
• Experience with Sage accounting software is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (Vlookup, Hlookup, Xlookup, Sumifs, Countif etc)

Your Daily Work revolves around:

• Identifying and Developing Opportunities: You will be analyzing industry data, identifying and developing new business opportunities and strategic partnerships from emerging markets and trends in the toys & games industry. · To ensure the efficient and effective running of the GL, AR, AP, PPE and cash accounting functions of the Company.

· To ensure timely month-end and year-end closing and reporting of the Company accounts in accordance with GAAP and the Stamford Tyres Group accounting policy.

· To ensure timely month-end and year-end MSOR reporting per Management's requirement (both at HQ and locally).

· To manage the audit, tax, corporate and legal processes of the Group in order to maintain and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, particularly GST, Customs, FBT and labour laws.

· To be responsible for the payroll and human resource functions of the Company – including salary disbursements, staff benefits administration, health insurance coverage, work permit applications, etc.

• Reconcile bank statements, post journal entries, and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Assist in budget preparation, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting for GST filing and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper accounting for all transactions and resolve any discrepancies.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Liaise with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Implement and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting regulations, and best practices.

Job Requirements

• Minimun diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CA Singapore) is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, with a proven track record in a senior accounts role.
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) and GST regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
