Accounts Manager – SGUnited Traineeships Programme
1. Role Description:
This position reports to the Director and interfaces with other employees. This role requires service-focused, self-driven, eager to grow, strong ownership and is able to execute task assigned timely. This role must also be able to contribute to strategical and tactical decisions that will shape the company’s present and future directions.
2. Specific Responsibilities:
• Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes and ensure proper reconciliation of creditors’ statements and accurate reporting of outstanding liabilities.
• Manage cash flow forecasting and ensure sufficient liquidity for operations as well as assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with laws and regulations as well as liaise with external auditors and tax agents to ensure smooth audit processes and tax filings.
• Prepare full sets of monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, comply with accounting standards and policies, perform analysis by comparing actual results to budgeted results as well as analyze variances and provide detailed explanations for discrepancies in financial performance.
• Provide the group financial analyses and interpretations of variances, and advice to management for decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support business growth and sustainability and also provide financial input on strategic projects.
3. Competencies to learn:
• Good analytical and organisational skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with budget management, public accounting, and cash flow.
• Familiar with all statutory and compliance obligations, including statutory accounting and tax issues.
• Experience managing full sets of accounts, preparing financial reports, and conducting variance analysis.
• Ability to articulate and present ideas to key stakeholders effectively in oral, presentation and written form.
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
