Summary

Responsible for carrying out the day-to-day AR and AP function for the business headquartered in

Singapore.

Main Duties

AR

• Perform AR month end closing activities.
• Run monthly statements such as AR aging vs AR ledger to ensure completeness.
• Maintain accurate financial accounts and up to date billing system.
• Carry out collection of payment from customers, liaising with salesman to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities.
• Maintain accounts receivable files and records.
• Collaborate with the Accountant for any AR assistance required.

AP

• Perform AP month end closing activities.
• Run monthly statements such as AP aging vs AP ledger to ensure completeness.
• Processing monthly and adhoc invoices and reconcile AP schedules.
• Collaborate with procurement team on the issuance of the PO and contract.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
• Ensure compliance with the PO, PR approval process.
• Update and maintain daily bank record on payment transactions.
• Prepare weekly cashflow report.
• Assist in prepare monthly bank reconciliations on payment transactions.
• Collate all AP invoices for AR intercompany billing.
• Collaborate with the Accountant for any AP assistance required.
• Review staff reimbursement and process payment run.

Adhoc Duties

• Preparing any reports required by Group Financial Controller/ Senior Accountant.
• Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial, tax and government authorities where required
• Support Accountant in ensuring compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST) and audits.
• Assist in new processes and system implementation when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 1-2 years’ of related experience in Accounting.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Self-motivated, driven and passionate about work.
• Hands-on person, able to work independently and also as part of a team.
• Meticulous, accurate and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is establishing a multi-discipline project team and corporate team to facilitate and ensure timely implementation of power generating station projects and thereafter, operation and maintenance of the power generating station. We are inviting applicants for the position of Finance Executive who shall report to the Senior Manager (Finance). The scope and requirements are as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Support the preparation of full sets of accounts and day-to-day accounting functions, including invoicing, receipt updates, vendor invoice processing, payment arrangements, journal entries, inter-company transactions, balance sheet schedules, fixed assets registers, inventory balances, bank transactions, general ledger maintenance and proper filing of supporting documents.
• Perform month end closing and ensure all journals, AP, AR are closed promptly.
• Ensure that all accounting records are complete, kept up-to-date and maintained promptly and accurately
• Preparation and process payments to suppliers and stakeholders.
• Preparation of billing and collections are completely, accurately and timely recorded.
• Prepare GL supporting schedules, bank reconciliation and support preparation of cash flow projection.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns to IRAS
• Liaise with external auditor, internal auditor and tax agent.
• Assist in financial reporting, audit processes, forecasting and budgeting exercises
• Support the drafting and implementation of new policies & procedures.
• Perform any other adhoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Accountancy, ACCA certification will be advantageous.
• At least 5 years of relevant experiences.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess strong analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player and good business partner.
• Possess initiative and able to organise and prioritise work.
• Experience in SAP and Oracle Netsuite will be advantageous.
• Willing to work in construction site office during construction stage and Jurong Island. (Morning transportation pick-up points available at different parts of Singapore.)
