We are looking for a data analyst with a strong interest in working with large-scale datasets and have experience with analyzing molecular -omics datasets such as transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics data. The candidate should have a strong interest in biology, understanding human diseases and most importantly be willing to learn. He/she will be involved in large-scale clinical projects and performing data-processing to analysis on mass spectrometry-based proteomics experiments. He/she will be expected to carry out data analysis such as differential analysis, machine-learning techniques, supervised/unsupervised clustering and statistical modelling. The candidate is expected to meet project datelines and present his/her work when required.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor or Masters degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Mathematical Sciences, Bioinformatics or other relevant degree.
• Degree in Life Sciences with both wet-lab skills and strong data analytic skills are also welcomed.
• Expertise in handling different types of omics data will be preferred.
• Able to carry out software programming such R or Python (Preferably R).
• Able to work independently.
• Good attitude towards learning, responsible and organized.
• Good critical thinking, communication and interpersonal skills.

Manage and lead the Accounts department in the full spectrum of accounting functions of the Company

• Ensure all sales transactions are appropriate and comply with cash audit policies and procedures
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and accounts

Responsibilities

· Responsible for the full spectrum of day-to-day financial and accounts operations

· ensure all transactions (AP, AR, bank reconciliations etc) are carried out accurately and timely

· Coordinate the collection, consolidation and evaluation of relevant financial data

· Supervise the accounts team to ensure that all required report deadlines are met

· Ensure timely completion in accounts closing and accuracy in accounting and financial reports

· Prepare monthly financial reports and maintain full set of accounts (Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss etc)

· Responsible for the timely collation and submission of GST Returns

· Analyse company’s financial performance and conduct variance analysis

· Track the financial status and performance of the company and identify areas for improvement

· Liaise with auditors for annual audit process and review

· Liaise with external parties such as suppliers, vendors, banks, external auditors, government authorities etc

· Consolidate, review and analyze financial data, reconcile discrepancies and provide recommendations in establishing and implementing accounting processes

· Provide financial analysis to business units and identify areas for cost reduction, as well as operational improvement

· Recommend, establish, execute and monitor implementation of accounting controls and procedures, ensure adherence to requirements and provide advice to Management on required actions

· Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accountancy/Finance
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting role with 3 years in supervisory role
• Meticulous and possess ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
• Good communication, leadership and analytical skill
• Experienced in retail and F&B industry
