Depending on the background and interests of the successful candidate, the work could also focus on the development of new methods to produce useful products from seaweed biomass. Responsibilities:

• Learn and employ methods in microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, microscopy and computational biology
• To maintain a detailed laboratory notebook
• Basic organization and lab administration

Requirements:

• BSc in the life sciences, or related fields
• A good understanding of eukaryotic genetics and cell biology
• Prior experience in lab research
• Experience with microscopy, molecular biology or microbiology
• A keen interest in learning and exploring new subjects
