Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Project Manager located in Singapore. The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is inviting applications for a Manager / Assistant Senior Manager in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide support to the GIS Unit and its GIS educational programmes. The GIS Unit spearheads the research, training and applications of GIS in the Department and aims to extend beyond the academic realm to foster an Asia-focused GIS ecosystem with global reach. The Department is the leading centre in Singapore for GIS research and teaching, hosting comprehensive geospatial and other laboratory facilities. It currently runs three GIS educational programmes based upon a diverse range of courses; the MSc in Applied GIS and Graduate Certificate in Applied GIS at graduate level and the GIS Minor at undergraduate level. • Oversee the end-to-end administration of the postgraduate research-based PhD and MSc programmes at the Department throughout the student lifecycle.

• Work closely with the Department management and Dean's Office to manage the programmes' admission cycles, e.g. programme promotion, programme website, etc, and to upkeep the programmes' quality.

• Manage the administration of the programmes' examinations, including PhD Qualifying Examinations and PhD/MSc thesis examinations.

• Provide other or ad hoc support to the Department as deemed necessary.

Qualifications/Requirements/Other Info

• Degree holder with minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

• Mature, meticulous and possess a high level of responsibility.

• Strong customer relations management experience.

• Resourceful team player, yet able to work independently and displays initiative.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Event management experience.

- Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus which is subject to incumbent’s performance and the University/School’s prevailing remuneration policies.

-The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.

Review electrical engineering drawings and refer issues requiring changes.

Assign job tasks and work as per electrical project schedules.

Review all electrical drawings with Leadmen performing on assigned jobs to them.

Stimulate fabrication standards to ensure quality work attained from assigned staff.

Recruit, guide, train, monitor and terminate assigned employees as required.

Recommend effective solutions specified particular weight related to employment status of employees.

Schedule, assign, plan and supervise electrical shop personnel performance on different electrical projects.
