Key responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Facility Design Engineering Manager EUR & APA, you are responsible for the design and layout optimisation of all strategic asset investments in the warehousing and fulfilment space for Maersk. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create efficient and cost-effective warehouse layouts. If you thrive in a complex, high-paced environment then this role could be for you.

• End-to-end ownership of engineering management of all construction projects, from pre-project to completion.
• Create and optimize warehouse layouts, including racking systems and material handling equipment, to maximize space utilization and minimize bottlenecks.
• Dive deep on technical details and provide value engineering and innovative solutions to drive frugality and continuous improvements
• Lead technical design reviews and propose design solutions that meet both business needs and global design standards.
• Collaboration with Global and Regional stakeholders to ensure timely Engineering resources allocated during the Investment process.
• Key link to Solution Design, Procurement, Delivery, HSSE, IT and other internal stakeholders.
• Ensure that warehouse designs and modifications adhere to all relevant safety and compliance regulations.
• Collaborate with suppliers and contractors to source and implement the necessary equipment and systems required for the warehouse projects.
• Create, submit and track relevant CAPEX requests (Capital Planning) to ensure that all projects are delivered within budget and best overall value
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of warehouse designs, project plans, and equipment specifications.
• Assess and communicate project status, drive escalations on potential risks and delays across multiple teams.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement best practices to enhance warehouse design and performance.
• Assist in providing equipment specifications and technical support to Procurement, Change Management and other business partners for best value and competition.

We’re looking for

• Relevant Education background in engineering, architecture, building sciences or relevant subjects.
• Experienced in facility design for the construction industry, ideally in Logistic infrastructure is required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, CAD, and MS Project
• Knowledge about automated material handling systems, packaging technologies and storage solutions is preferable
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
• The ability to handle multiple tasks in a constantly changing environment
• Ability to resolve problems with effective solutions

Job Summary:

Our progressive and expanding company is in search of a Electrical engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair electrical systems in facilities, including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and lighting systems
• Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to ensure they are functioning correctly
• Perform regular maintenance and repair of electrical systems to ensure maximum efficiency
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems, including identifying the root cause of problems and developing effective solutions
• Work with project manager and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for electrical systems to extend their lifespan and reduce downtime
• Provide technical support and training to staff and clients on electrical systems operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems
• Assist engineers and work with other technical officers
• Manage a team of 10 workers

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Facilities, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire protection or facilities management, with a focus on electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, principles, codes, and standards.
• Experience managing and leading a team of technicians
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and develop creative solutions

Monthly Salary Range (SGD)

Job Description & Requirements

· Support Construction Project Manager on subcontractors sourcing ,issuing, work scope clarification, sub-contractors evaluation & selection, cost negotiation and PO issuance.

· Clarification & confirmation of work scope.

· Coordinating and liaising with selected subcontractors to ensure they are in line with company planning and execution. To discuss and clarify the detail of scope of work, execution plan, issue resolution and technical issue resolution.

· Should have thorough knowledge in rebar and bar bending works.

· Coordinate and supervision of rebar team and assist in technical aspects of construction.

· Coordinating with all engineering disciplines to ensure design, cost and client’s requirement can be achieved.

· Handling of issued drawings to ensure latest drawings to be applied.

· Need to report any deviations in the work to management immediately, if any.

· Working closely with scheduler, subcontractors and clients to plan ahead and schedule critical work paths in order to avoid delays or obstructions on mechanical completion.

· Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work progress, site labour force and any work of subcontractors.

· Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.

· Identify and resolve all technical issues in Construction process.

· Need to provide technical solutions to the issues and should groom supervisors to next level.

· Liaising with any vendors, consultant, supervisors, subcontractors and the general workforce involved in the project.

· Liaise with project engineer, site supervisor on all the coordination of shop drawings.

· Assist Construction Manager to monitor and manage the overall construction cost, including subcontractors’ progress billing, construction expenses and cost of variation order.

· Prepare and submit the weekly and monthly progress/construction reports to management.

Able to work in shifts and ready to work in extended hours as per project requirement.
